Are there any recent interviews with Matt Groening talking about what he is thinking about the current "version" of his show?

I believe there was one from awhile back where he said that he liked the 'Appocalypse cow' episode. He cited the Slaughter house scenes, and how funny he thought they were.
Seasons 1-9 - Classic era
10-12 - Scully era
13-16 - Silver age
16.5 - Into the abyss
17 - The shit abyss
18-24 - Zombie Simpsons

the last ones i remember are him saying he thinks the show is as good as ever, and sees no end in sight, and the one already mentioned, citing apocalypse cow as one of his favorites of the post-classics.
i don't know if there has been any more recent interviews
He doesn't care about the show anymore. If he did he wouldn't have let Marge be in Playboy. But he did. So he doesn't care.
why do people expect him to come out and say "I hate this piece of shit show that pays me millions of dollars a year"?
I don't get it
He's never really gone down on it of course, for obvious reasons Jamie spelled out.
I've always gotten the impression that Matt's personal taste in cartoons tends to be a little on the lighter side of sardonic comedy, remember a lot of the early to classic years where the show handled things on a little more of a darker scale were written by groups of people, not just him. I'm of the personal opinion anyways that while Matt created the characters and basic concept, Sam Simon arguably created its personality and a lot of its feel. So in other words I have a feeling he's never really looked at the show's more "critical" side too much, the part of it that people often criticize as having taken a swan dive.
I'm pretty sure he's aware of a lot of complaints though and at least sees that some aspects of it are a bit worn, you can see a lot of sentiments towards this in little nooks and crannies of even the current show, but by this point it's probably just business as usual understandably. As said of course he's not gonna just trash it publically.
He said that the way the show is now - is the vision of what he wanted the show to always be. That was back in season 16/17 though - and things have changed since then. So I dunno, that's weird.
he's also said the show has differed from his original vision since day 1
so who knows

he's got a better show to worry about
