NHC's Own Animated Show

We've tried this a couple of times now but they've kinda been forgotten/lost/moved/whatever. Would anyone be up for trying to create one again?

We'd need writers, animators, voice actors etc. We'd also need an awesome idea which could be executed well with our limited resources.

If you're interested in taking part then post here with any ideas you may have and any positions you think you could do.

I'd like to be a writer and PERHAPS a voice actor. I'll post any ideas I have asap.

I'll animate it, but only if it's written by the guy who does The Maggie Simpson Show over in the Itchy & Scratchy Studios. That guy writes some gold.

How do you make this show? Do you record voices and actually animate it or what?

The plan is to get some people who can animate and we record short scripts that we've written then give the sound files to the animators to animate.

But we do need some animators coz atm pretty much everyone is a writer that has put themselves forward so far. Thanks for the interest though.

Well I don't know of anybody in this forum who can animate. Many people can draw but they're not skilled enough to animate or something, including me.

How do I voice act?

When we have a script (and an idea for that matter) we'll organise a recording session. It depends if people wanna read the script and record their lines seperately (maybe easier to organise) or whether they wanna all go on to skype or a similar thing to record together.

I might not have enough time to become a writer .. so I guess I'm leaping out of this project unless I'm completely certain I'll have time to do this.

So... Shouldn't we start to plan out the setting, the characters, the overall feel of the show?

I'd be willing to be a writer and a voice actor for this project if it gets off the ground. I should be able to balance it with other things that are occurring in my life.

I could also put in some voice work, if need be. Only thing is my recording device makes a loud click when you stop recording, so that would need to be edited out somehow.

Okay yeah. Everyone who has registered an interest is welcome to participate. We only have 1 animator at present (and he might have been joking) so we could do with more.

As for ideas, I suggest maybe some kind of adulter looney tunes style thing. That way we can keep things short and we have a variety of characters to work with. Obviously other ideas are welcome though so get suggesting and stuff.

Here's my idea: an Indiana Jones type premise, in the style of The Venture Bros. It's different, and gives us some room to get weird while still having a basic plot structure to work with.

Comedy is perfectly fine with me. I like the Looney Tunes styled idea. We could all come up with characters and put them through wacky adventures...or something like that. We should definitely keep this thing short.

What about a miniseries about a superhero who cares about himself more than actually saving people and stuff?

it could be a whole lot of stuff. it could be creative, it doesnt have to be long, it could be visually striking, it could have alot of nerdy jabs at spiderman and batman etc., It could be a satire of the government, and we could build a whole universe based off this guy.

kind of like "the tick" except created by some dorks on a simpsons internet board.

I wanna be the Scruffy of the show.

I come in once or twice a season, adding little to no character/plot development to anything and making sexist (but oddly humourous) comments about the other characters...and for Jet's sake I will also be holding up graphs in every scene.
