Man, this would have been even more awesome if seasons 4 through whatever never happened and this was the "return" of SpongeBob, comparable to the Arrested Development movie. But I guess there wouldn't have been a demand for another movie from Nickelodeon if it weren't for the shitty new seasons entertaining the youngsters. I probably won't see this in theaters, but it will definitely be worth at least a rent.

It's a shame that Nick could have just killed off the show while it was still great and end it on a high note with the Spongebob movie so it would be fondly remembered as an early 2000's classic. But then sometime in season 4 they decided to air it with an entirely different crew working on it who did not care about what they were writing, having the mindset that "the show is popular at this point so kids will watch anything we do".

It's most likely the end if Stephen Hillenburg is working on it, or maybe he's decided to come back to the show completely? Could happen.

even though hillenburg is coming back for it, the new movie probably won't be any good. like the simpsons movie, they all came back for that and it was just as bad as the new episodes.

plus i think the show will go on past 2014.

I was so pissed at that top ten list, too, it was supposed to count down the 100 best episodes of all time, I believe. At that point I thought Karate Island was the worst episode of the entire series. How how far this show's gone to prove me wrong.

Actually Krabs is beginning to be used less and less nowadays, this season there were five episodes in a row where he did not appear at all... (And others dotted throughout)
