Season finale airing tonight, and for me at least, this is the most unpoiled episode of the season. Nobody has leaked any pre-framegrabs or pre-airings or nuthin, and I havn't even seen a commercial yet either! Hope it's good. Review after it airs.
1/5 "The Frying Game" was the season finale!
2/5 "M-E-H. Meh."
3/5 - It was good. But not GREAT.
4/5 Very Good!
5/5 A MUCH better finale than "The Frying Game"!

Signature.
Maggie? Who knew? A terrific episode, one of my favorites of the season. A great Sopranos parody and I am glad that it lasted as long as it did. It was great to see all those Springfield locations again. I give it an A.
oooops -- double post. I'm sorry.
Well, what a great way to end Season 13. 5/5
The Best Episode of the Season!

Loved every second of it! 5/5!
Okay, this episode was just plain entertainment! In fact, I have no idea what people will really complain about! It had great Sopranos parody, funny ending ( I ACTUALLY GUESSED THE SHOOTER! ), great character humor, and more!
I probably give it a 4.5/5, but I rounded it to 5 on the poll.
And you all doubted Dana Gould.
I thought it was pretty good, Soprano's parody was awesome. A lot of re used stuff in it though, and a slow plot, so 4/5.
Wow! Excellent episode! 4/5. It would be a five, but the first act really dragged or me. Reminded me too much of "The Cartridge Family." Other than that, I LOVE Homer listing his old jobs. The episode was genius!
Best Episode of the season, it had such great direction, and great jokes and it reminded me of a classic Simpsons episode, showcasing the towns ignorance as a whole and all the buildings.
What was the name of that song they played while Fat Tony was driving to kill Homer and at the end?

Brought up some interesting points. Maggie dreaming of shooting Burns was good. Homer listing his many jobs and not noticing Marge leaving was classic. Homophobe being the second-last job was good. The music was good. SpringShield was great!!!! The mob parts were okay. The secondary Moe's was funny.
Signatures are so overrated!

It is actually a good episode and it lived up to it's hype. I loved Maggie at the end! Also, I thought it was hilarious that Homer refered to Maggie as the poop machine. It has the best Maggie moments in a long time. I also love Homer mentioning every one of his past jobs. Also, Moe robbing his own store was hilarious! I also loved when Fat Tony was driving to Springfield. The beginning reminded me a lot of "The Cartridge Family" but that doesn't take away much from the episode. Also, I loved how Homer made a commercial, like in "Mr. Plow". A lot better than Freying game. 5/5!!

Oh, and I taped the episode, so I'll notice more later.

Wow... I'm about to watch it again, but after the first viewing... This is definitely the season finale, and an excellent season finale at that...
I laughed throughout the whole episode... The self references to the show worked good, and a lot of side characters gave great preformances... johnny tightlips was halarious...
"did you see where the shooter is? "
" I see a lot of things..."
5/5... great ep... gotta go watch it again...
p.e.a.c.e.
My favorite part was the jog montage (if anyone knows it please post it). The first act wasn't too strong except for Lenny and Carl on the cell phone. I'm glad Maggie was noticed. I was right about the johny Tightlips. The lasttwo acts were well-written. Overall a great episode.
I think I speak for everyone else when I say DAMN because there will be no new Simpsons episodes until November.
I liked this episode! I gave it a 4/5.
My only complaints are that it didn't into the main story until halfway through, and it seems like almost everything in this episode has been done before on the show. Other than that, great. Maggie shot them? Awesome! The scene where Fat Tony and all are driving through Springfield was pretty cool too.
Season 13 is over... sigh. And I must say, at first, I didn't like Al Jean, but ever since Gump Roast, every episode has been an A or B! If Al Jean continues this rise in quality, then he really is the show's "savior".

When was this episode on?!

Episode stunk until Fat Tony showed up. Everything up before that is sooo derivative of earlier episodes. Loved the Sopranos segment though. That ferret/poodle scam is based on the "mexican pet" urban legend

That episode rocked. I really liked the list of Homer's jobs. Put that in your episode guide Tomacco. It started out awesome with some great stuff related to the heat wave. I like the episode so much, it ties for my favorite of the season with Half-Decent Proposal. I'm pretty hyped about the next season. 5/5

All-Time Rankings
1: Bart Gets An Elephant, 2: Duffless, 3: Lisa The Vegetarian
Homer listing all his jobs was a friggin' riot!! I thinked they named all of them! That's goin' in the guide page for sure!
The Sopranos theme was the song they played, by the way.
Hilarious episode. The first act was fine IMO, because it held the same theme as the rest of the episode. This one actually was like a mixture of past episodes:
"Bart of Darkness", "The Cartridge Family", "Homer the Vigilante", "The Twisted Tale of Marge Simpson", and maybe "Homer vs the 18th Ammendment".
The ending was hilarious. Me and my brother watched the episode together, and when they were delaying announcing the shooter, I said jokingly "It was Maggie, like when she shot Burns", and THATS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED! I was laughing so hard.

It's funny how everyone thought this was going to be the throwaway episode and how everyone also thought "The Frying Game" was going to be 'awesome', well the opposite happend--"Poppa..." really kicked some major ass. This was one of the rare episodes where the show become better as the acts progressed. Act One--average: B, act two--very good: A-, and finally, act three: the best act of season 13, IMO--A++!
Likeable characters, decent plot, and tremendous humor all around.
Overal: 4.5 outta 5 and in the top five for S13!
Jake
Season 13's top Five:
1. Little Girl in the Big Ten (9.5/10)
2. The Old man and the Key (9/10)
3. Half Decent Proposal (9/10)
4. Poppa's Got a new Badge (8.5/10)
5. I am Furious Yellow (8.5/10)
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
The Maggie ending was the best thing they could have done. Tonight was the best use of Maggie's character ever. I didn't see it coming at all. I assumed it was Wiggum or some of Homer's friends. I am still laughing at this episode. I simply love it. I was about to die from laughing during The Sopranos parody while Fat Tony was driving. Now that the season is over, here is my Top 5:
1. Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge 9.7
2. Little Girl in the Big Ten 9.5
3. Weekend at Burnsies 9.3
3. Half-Decent Proposal 9.2
5. I Am Furious (Yellow) 8.8
This was a big step up from Season 12. I am going to declare it the best season Since 9 -- possibly even 8.![]()

Ha ha HA! Why the HELL did the network air this ep on a crappy Wednesday night and not on Sunday night, where ratings could have been higher? This episode is one of the BEST of the season! Nothing too surreal or disturbing pissed me off-- that's a plus. Fat Tony was awesome, but I did anticipate a reason why Fat Tony wanted to kill Homer-- meh. Still awesome-- the jokes were well-done, the Sopranos parody was very amusing, and Homer was unusually calmer. Even the humongous meta-reference of Homer's resume was well-done (someone please post a list!). And what did I say? The saxophone thing was written out (it was the Malibu Stacy collection instead). It was just good to see a GREAT episode like this one end the season instead of awful tripe like The Frying Game. Sorry I underestimated you, Dana Gould! Awesome!
1. Little Girl in the Big Ten
2. Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge (I can't believe I wrote that!)
3. She of Little Faith
btw, what did everyone think of Moe's inserted line "I'm gonna miss Celebrity Boxing"? I thought it was clever to put that in, even though it's cheap promotion. Hope it was the writers' idea.

Best Episode of the Season IMO. The Sopranos parody, Homer listing is job, and the mafia were all great. This episode was actually fun to watch. It was entertaining and it had my attention the whole time. I can't think of anything bad in the episode. It was a great episode overall. 5/5
"It was a pornography store, I was buying pornography."

Overall a very fine episode. It was definently the best "Homer gets a new job" episode in the last couple of years. The only drawbacks in my opinion were the ending and some jokes that dragged on to long such as Homer singing "Radar Love", Fat TOny driving around, and Homer listing off every job he's ever had. I also think the feud between Homer and Fat Tony could have been a little better. Still, overall this episode feels solid and it was a nice way to close out season 13 which has been a great rebuilding year.
I was laughing out loud at that.Originally posted by PsycheEnFuego

grrr...
I totally forgot about tonight's episode, it sounds good and I was looking forward to it. If anyone has a url for the ep please help this newbie out and post it![]()

A kick-ass episode. I just enjoyed this episode so DAMN MUCH! It focused much more on Homer as a vigilante (legalized) than the mediocre "Homer the Vigilante" and just had sooo many good jokes...so much humor, wit, parody, cleverness, one-liners, jokes, jokes...it goes on. A/A+, probably. The use of minor characters like Ralph, Fat Tony, Tight Lips, Cletus, and Mayor Quimby was sparse and excellent. Also, it had some quick lampooning of September 11, which is still somewhat daring: Quimby saying he'll come out well from a tragedy (satirizing Giuliani and Bush, who almost let the tragedy go on to up their PR) and the T-Shirt seller who was milking off the tragedy while showing false empathy (remember me as a hero!). It was well-directed and styled, and had tongue firmly in cheek. This is, as Tomacco said, pure entertainment.
