Any season 5 episode beats any season 21 episode . That's ignoring that Cape Feare is an exceptional episode and Boy Meets Curl is pretty strange and weak. Cape Feare it is.

I totally disagree, each season have his lot of good and bad episodes IMO, but I also vote for Cape Feare.

I disagree the best season 21 (The Squirt and the Whale, Bob Next Door) can't stand up to the worst episodes of season 5 (Bart's Inner Child, Bart Gets Famous)

The way I see it, the classic era seasons only have weak episodes by classic era standards (unless you include seasons 9+), while more recent years struggle to match any of the ability found week after week back then.

I agree with Léo Pard, the best episodes of pretty much any season are at least on par with the worst episodes of even the best seasons. I actually have quite a lot season 21 episodes that beat the worst bunch of season 5 episodes in my ratings. Though I have to admit that it makes me wonder if my scale has slided a bit towards the later seasons making it easier to get higher ratings.
