    Me, too ^_^
I seriously have to buy them on the day they're released! I remember when Season 12 came out, I was in college and I was tempted to ask if I could go home early so I could watch The Simpsons Season 12 DVD lol (I had purchased it during my break).

Well, last year we got the official announcement of Season 13 and its box art on May 5th. It's now May 10th a year later so I feel that we could definately be getting the anouncement within a week. Possibly....

Everytime I look at this thread I expect to find some cover art and instead get pointless speculation! RABBLE! RABBLE! RABBLE!

The announcement of the release date should be in the next 2 weeks

So this will be the last decent season.

^ I guess if you ignore 15 and 16...and if by decent you mean pretty darn good...

Ok, S15 still has some solid episodes ('Tis the Fifteenth Season) but I don't get what's good about S16.
I just went throughout the list of S16 episodes and I remember them all as being dull.

Admittedly I'm probably the only one who loves season 16, but I can list at least 8 episodes from that season that I absolutely love.

I within the last few weeks watched all of 14 15 and 16. I actually really liked 15 quite a bit but honestly found 14 rather dull. Just my tastes I guess.

Season 14 has some pretty good episodes including "The Great Louse Detective", "The Dad Who Knew Too Little" and "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can" but while not reaching some of the terrible Scully episodes none of them really stand out to me besides "Moe's Baby Blues" which has a real classic feel.

Season 15 may be more memorable with episodes like "The Fat and the Furriest", "Catch 'Em if you Can" and "The Way We Weren't" but the lows of this season are worse than that of Season 14. But on a scale of one to ten I'd probably rate this the same as the previous season.

Season 16 is probably the least memorable season of the show, but still holds some pretty good episodes "All's Fair in Oven War", "Home Away from Homer" and "Fat Man and Little Boy". Despite some good episodes many are overlooked by the standout bad episodes "Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass" and "Goo Goo Gai Pan" while many others stale upon re watch "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Future-Drama" to name a few.

    Season 14 - 8.0/10.0
    Season 15 - 8.0/10.0
    Season 16 - 7.5/10.0

Alright then, if we're gonna do this let's do it right

The following Season 16 episodes rank as fantastic:
    Sleeping With the Enemy
    Fat Man and Little Boy
    Midnight Rx
    There's Something About Marrying
    Mobile Homer
    Don't Fear the Roofer
    The Heartbroke Kid
    Thank God, It's Doomsday
    Home Away from Homer
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Guest Star

Personally I give all 10 of these episodes a 5/5 on my Post-Classic Era grading scale. On multiple re-watches I still deeply enjoy these episodes and at times find things to laugh at that I actually missed in earlier viewings. The only two I'll acknowledge I may be overestimating are Midnight Rx and Mobile Homer but dammit I just love those episodes.

The Following Season 16 episodes rank as pretty good:
    Treehouse of Horror XV
    All's Fair in Oven War
    Pranksta Rap
On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister
    The Seven-Beer Snitch
    Future-Drama

I rate these episodes as all having some very funny moments/aspects, but downgraded due to containing some pretty stupid/bad ones as well. Among all Post-Classic Era Simpsons they are in the middle, the definition of average.

The Following Season 16 episodes rank as downright terrible:
Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass
    A Star is Torn

These two episodes are pretty damn terrible and painful to watch again, and even A Star is Torn has a couple of decent Homer gags.

The other episodes of the season are Mommie Beerest, She Used to Be My Girl and Goo Goo Gai Pan. I don't really remember enough about these episodes to put into a category right now as I havn't seen any of them in a long time but even putting them in the downright horrible category gives me 10 out of 21 episodes I love and another 6 I can find enjoyment in making 16 out of 21 pretty good to absolutely great episodes.

So as you can see, I really like Season 16 and find it extremely underrated as a whole. That said, I understand that this is my opinion and many will disagree but if we're gonna start comparing season 16 episodes in a season 14 dvd thread I figured I'd give my opinion.

Such a long time ago since I saw this season, but these 5 I really enjoyed.

    -Treehouse of Horror XIII
-Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade
    -Special Edna
    -Three Gays of the Condo
    -Moe Baby Blues

Moe Baby Blues & Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade are good episodes from season 14. Moe Baby Blues is my favourite from Season 14.

those are the only episodes i remember enough to have an opinion about. i can't wait for the rest of the episodes. those 5 are enough to make me stoked for the rest of the season

Large Marge & Three Gays of the Condo. I remember those episodes from my Kiss and Tell DVD. I nearly forgot about them.

that's how i remember them. i bought it because it was only like 10 dollars, plus none of the episodes were on DVD with their seasons (maybe natural born kissers, cause of s9, but i don't remember). i used to watch large marge, the way we weren't, and three gays of the condo all the time.

i like the color of it, but i dunno if i'll buy it. i'm just not that into the DVDs anymore.

if it is being released in september in region 2, does region 1 get it earlier, probably in August?

Ya usually we get it before region 2 so I'd expect an August release for region 1.

seriously what is the point of putting producers few people know on the spine

    it's pure egotism

I like it, and have been looking forward to getting this season on DVD for some time. This and season 16 are my favorite seasons since 9.
