Ok, good call on those. Probably the only time a clip show can be used as the best moments of a character though lol
Technically a clip show probably SHOULD display the best moments of a character, but I get what you're saying.
Uh... NBC wants to renew Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are totally and understandably against it though.
Do you know how many shows are being considered to be renewed because of Internet fandom? Not so much message boards, but through Facebook? Even going by your Seinfeld example, it has over 4 millions fans on NBC's official page, something they're quite aware of?
This is a new era, as much as some people can't see it. Message boards and facebook pages and online fandom do effect TV shows, even a "small" community such as this. Heck, this forum as been referenced in the show before (Sleeping With the Enemy). This is how the world works now. Stop being a dick to people.
Could this be the same feature they used in The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" DVD from the beginning of the millenium? It was also titled "The Best of Kang & Kodos".
sure the internet is a decent indicator of what's going to make money...sometimes. you know what's a better indicator?
dvd sales.
also note his use of the word "as". now stop being a dick.
Let's "bee" friends!

they'll probably release it in august, it's just incredibly odd they haven't confirmed this. most shows, when they stop releasing dvds, it is because the previous ones did not sell well enough. in the simpsons case, the dvds sell really well (or at least they did), and even now you'd think they'd still sell somewhat well
I just found this commentary for "Moe Baby Blues"
With Matt Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, J. Stewart Burns, Lauren MacMullan, David Silverman, Hank Azaria, Joe Mantegna
I really love the sound of this. Even Joe Mantegna who, while a celebrity, is usually quiet and understanding while they talk about the episode itself and often brings some interesting stuff to the table. Everyone else deserves to be there too, very encouraging to see Matt Groening and Hank Azaria there again.
Keep up the good work
.
Hey RJS, if you don't mind me asking, where are you getting this info from? It's not that I don't believe you, I have no reason not to, I'm just curious.
thats a surprise, as I think the latest dvd's have had crap commentary's.
it would be nice if it's confirmed though
I like all the time the comentary with Dan Castelanneta ! But is not there![]()
for Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade
with Al Jean, Matt Selman, Tim Long, Steven Dean Moore, David Silverman, Mike Reiss, Yeardley Smith
Hmmm...no Groening, but Mike Reiss is a nice sign.
I'm beginning to think you have all these episode's already and are just holding out on us for +1s
Also, this confirms Dan, Yeardley and Hank will all appear in this set.
Or he doesn't know anything since has yet to give a source...
Anyway, who cares who's on what commentary right now? You guys will get the bulk of that information in due time.
^Eh, he could be lieing(as I pointed out in an earlier post) but for some reason I believe him.
And you're right of course, but its still refreshing to get some new info.
"Three Gays of the Condo"
with Matt Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, Matt Warburton, Mark Kirkland, David Silverman, Mike Reiss, Dan Castellaneta, "Weird Al" Yankovic
We already had some confirmation for this one, but I believe you could only see Weird Al, David Silverman, and one other in the photo so having the full listing down is nice.

i always have the benefit of the doubt for people, but seriously, how are you getting this info? you said you 'have your sources'. can you be more specific?

"Strong Arms of the Ma"
with Matt Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, Carolyn Omine, Pete Michels, David Silverman, Dan Castellaneta

It's possible that he/she is an insider told by the producers to do the dirty work of giving the info out on the forums.

anything's possible, i'm just wondering how this is all reliable information. i mean i could say i got the commentary details on a particular episode, and then just list certain people who would be on it (showrunner, director, writer, guest star probably, etc), and if someone asked me i could just make up something on how i got it. like i said i give people the benefit of the doubt, i just am curious how this user is getting all this information
Either way this person has no real reason to lie because we'll probably be getting the official information really soon so they'll either be proven right or wrong then.

Me thinks he works for Fox's Home Video department, or he handles press releases.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
