I have to say, I'm a little bit worried about that the fact that Al Jean isn't in the photo with the other commentary participants. I don't know if that's all of them but I've been wondering if he'd be able to do all the commentaries now since he's running the show at the same time. I was quite surprised actually that he was able to make it for all his Season 13 episodes.

Maybe Al took the photo?

Also on (another) nerdy note, Wow, I didn't know they'd be in seperate rows when recording the commentaries. I assumed they'd be in a semi-circle or something.

I figure we will get a DVD release every August. Meaning that we may not get up to possible last season 23 till 2020

I really hope they don't take that long to get all the seasons out. I would guess that they'll go back to 2 seasons a year at some point, probably after the show goes off the air. Hopefully sooner. I really don't get why they wouldn't just go back to the August/Decemeber releases. It'd be nice to get 14 and 15 this year but I think we all know that's not gonna happen.

i really wish they'd be released faster. i do understand they have a lot of features that take up time to do (plus, the first season wasn't even released till s12 or so was on TV), but it's taking so long which gets really annoying. i'm a completionist and i do plan on buying all the seasons... but to do that, they have to release all of them

I don't see any reason why they can't resume doing two a year. S14 in August, S15 at Christmas. Unless Al Jean's busy schedule means it takes longer for him to do commentaries.

Its probably just FOX wanting to try and milk the Simpsons as long as they can. They could easily do the commentaries for a season in a week or less. Then just give a couple months (even though this could be done in far less time than that if it had to be...) for designing the packaging and menus and extras and stuff. It's not their too busy, it's just that they don't want to.

aren't sales better by releasing one a year? Because the longer they wait, for some people, the more they'll want the set (again, some people, obviously not everyone will be like this). The more they wait for a season to release, the more he want for that season in some people is. They could wait like 2 years or so and they'd probably sell a lot of them, as opposed to selling one in August of a year and one in December of the same year.

If you don't trust me I can understand because I'm the webmaster of it and the author of this news but I can guarantee you we have a lot of good contacts and we never give a wrong information since the site creation 11 years ago.

I'm tired of people who is waiting information for months and when they have one don't trust it even if the source sounds good. If you never trust anybody, don't be surprised if you never have interesting information. That's what happens on the Season 22 information thead, when some guy sent infos about future episodes, people don't trust him such that he never post again and now we have the confirmation that his infos was real.

I don't mind Kang and kodos on the cover. I think it's kinda cool. This will prob'ly be the only recognition they get on a dvd case.
