season 13 is a very good underrated season but I've seen them all so I'd rather see the new season.

You need a both option! I voted for Season 13 on DVD, as I always get excited when a new DVD set is released. (Minus Season 20, due to the lack of extras in it and not the episodes)

    Season 22

I get more excited for new episodes than for episodes that I've already seen.

    Season 22 for me.

I've got to stock up on more classic era dvds, until I can brave the mediocrity of season 13.

S13 on DVD because, quite frankly, I don't have FOX.

Season 13 on DVD for sure. I love adding another season to my collection and I actually think that season 13 is one of the best post-classic seasons.

I skipped most of season 21, and I'm considering keeping up with S22.

Season 13. Whereas with 22 I'm just hoping it's better than what the show was in 20 and 21, I know it with 13. Not a great season, but I'd be quite shocked if season 22 churned out anything better. Plus you've got bonuses like the commentaries to look forward on the season set.

Season 13 coming on DVD has me considering buying 10, 11, and 12 too (in addition to maybe buying 13 obviously). There's the completionist part of me, and then the part who only wants to spend money on the "good" seasons. Also, if I buy 13 I'd need 10-12 too (OCD).

I'm torn, actually - I haven't seen either season, so they're both interesting to me. I'd probably want to see S13 on DVD more than S22 on TV.

I'd want to see both, though.

The new season of course! Unlike many others, Bob Dole has not given up on The Simpsons yet.

On the one hand I don't get the channel which carries the new seasons in the UK but I will probably catch it on the web. When I did that for season 21 though I gave up after the second episode (I eventually watched American History X-cellent aswell but they were the only 3) so I'm not particularly optimistic about the new one.

Season 13, however, is an okay season which I can get some enjoyment out of but I don't even own season 12 yet so I won't buy it for ages.

Basically I'm not excited about anything the Simpsons related anymore (apart from perhaps a movie sequel). I'll buy the boxsets because of the commentaries and completionism and I'll (eventually) watch the new episodes out of blind hope of a return to form or a gem appearing amongst the crap.

I voted for season 22 because I don't know what to expect whereas I know exactly what season 13 is like.

Why would you be excited for a movie sequel, hammster?

I bought one of those "terror" Scully seasons (10) a while ago...

I sold it two weeks later.

The first movie was a huge event. The anticipation, the atmosphere in the cinema and the fact that everyone suddenly liked the simpsons enough to quote it at school and stuff. It was really fun to participate in something like that and although the sequel probably wouldn't be as big even if there was just a fraction of that excitement and buzz then it'd be awesome.

season 22, because we pretty much know what to expect from the s13 dvd, but there's always a chance (albeit a very small one) that they'll surprise us with something good during the new season

I'd say Season 13 on DVD because I love collecting Simpsons stuff, and it's always nice to have the episodes on DVD so that I can easily watch them over and over again. I may buy it on Blu-Ray aswell at a later date.

I like the style of humor in the newer episodes. Occasionally an episode can be bland and unfocused, but the majority of the episodes always offer something to laugh about. Obviously, I'll take new material over having the ability to watch repeats I have already seen too many times.

I'm really curious about "Grade School Musical" seeing if they finally come up with some new quirky and funny songs, and to see which teen stereotypes the they make the students. Also the "Lisa, this isn't your life." The titles sound pretty interesting so far...

It sounds interesting, but if it is anything like "Homer Simpson, This is Your Wife," it's going to be terrible.

Oh, and it's Elementary School Musical.
