B&B is still going strong and still makes me laugh harder than any other show on right now. I do think the most recent Jersey Shore segment was more grating than anything...hearing Snooki talk about "guidos" and "juiceheads" is mind-numbing at this point, and the boys' commentary, while funny, is almost not worth having to deal with the awfulness of the show. I hope they either crank up their venom, or set their targets on other MTV shows more often. The "real life" segments usually turn out well since they at least have different groups of people to make fun of each episode (like the family that talked through the back of their nose, etc).

I don't know what the solution is though, it would be weird if they didn't watch anything.
I pretty much get a laugh or two from the MTV segments, but otherwise I'm just watching hoping the next segment is a music video. Not to say EVERY video is great. Ghosts 'n Stuff was a letdown, and as much as I wanted to share it with my friend who's a huge Deadmau5 fan, I refrained because it just wasn't funny. But maybe the videos are typically better because the events in a music video are so.....random that the commentary is so much funnier? Beavis and Butthead tend to make fun of the wackiness of an artful video like in a "Why the hell are they doing that?" way, where with MTV segments they're just picking on unintelligent people who the audience already know are dumb.

I do find the video segments are less interesting to watch. So far the videos this season almost seem like a self contained episode if you put them all side by side. Like, the same conversation has just continued on. i.e. Beavis trying to be politically correct (Don't say Mexican), Breast augmentation and stories about Beavis being abused.

Which brings me to my next point, I really wish they would stop talking about Beavis being sexually abused, each time I just feel so sorry for Beavis, I can't laugh at it. I do remember a few videos in the old episodes where they would make reference to someone molesting him "How come your dentist inspects your nads" springs to mind. But that story about him waking up under a bridge and having a sore butt was just really uncomfortable to listen to.

Those complaints aside, this weeks episodes were pretty good, Bathroom Break was the stronger one and actually felt like a classic Burger World story. Supersize me had a hilarious visual, but I wish it had more of a conclusion as to how they get back to normal rather than just sending them from one fast food chain to another.

Sorry to double post but I found some more episode titles...bare in mind these are from Wikipedia and have yet to be given descriptions so...

214 -"Holding" (Set to air along with "Copy machine" on December 8th)
215 -"Used car" (A clip from this can be seen in the trailers "YOU DID NOT PUT CAR IN REVERSE!")
    216 -"Bounty Hunters"
    218 - "Massage"
    219 - "School test"
220 - "Snitchers" (Based on the title, this sounds like the Todd episode)
    221 - "Whorehouse"

"Time Machine" is listed as episode 217 and "Going down" is listed as episode 222.

'The Rat' was HILARIOUS...especially the part where B & B-H were trying to get the trap set...I knew that one of them was going to eat the nacho chip they used in their trap and get snapped!

That, and the revelation of the Rat being a female and pregnant.

Principal McVicker was in the episode "Dumb Design", so he must have only fainted in "Beavis and Butthead are Dead".

The rat episode was one of the funniest Beavis and Butthead shows I've ever seen.
"Dumb design" had some great satire in it, namely the misconstrued reasons for believing in creationism.

Man, this show is awesome. Funnier than anything on Fox, and way more consistent than South Park. The Rat episode was classic, and the other three were all quite solid in their own ways.

"The Rat" is quite possibly one of the most slapsticky episodes of the show, the Spongebob-esque music during the trap scene was great. This episode holds strong with me because this EXACT thing happened my sister's boyfriend and his dad a week or so ago (Minus the taking it as a pet bit).

"Spill" was another classic misunderstanding VanDriessen plot. You can't help but feel happy for them that they at least got a hug from Mia.

"Doomsday" was just APOCOLYPTIC heh heh....so....Harry Sachz is still alive. Good to know. I thought it was going to have a much darker ending after he tackled them.....though I also was expecting Beavis to actually shoot Harry betwen the eyes. lol

"Dumb Design" could have almost had the same problem as "Crying" did but that scene in Gym class kept the joke not only strong but funny as fuck!

Best season of any show thus far.

All 4 of the new clips were great.

    Yes.

I'm guessing the difference here to what Family Guy couldn't get on TV is this won't be done all tastelessly. Like instead of having any focus on the babies at all, it'll more so be about the friendly, innocent people working there blowing Beavis and Butthead off like usual. Although I'll admit that really the only thing Family Guy had going against it was the controversial subject matter; as a guy who cringes every time a character bleeds on Family Guy, I really had no objections to anything in the abortion episode. It was quite funny, actually.

I'm laughing just reading some of those descriptions. That's a good sign.

Does that make this season 14 episodes total then? Is it ending after December? What's in store for the future of the show?

It's 12 half hours in total. The last episode of this season airs on Januray 5th.

Just found out the DVD of this season is going to be called "Volume 4" so as to tie-in with the 3 previous Mike Judge collection boxsets. Also, I'm not to crazy about the cover art.

Though I like the look of this one better (Even if they have just recycled the picture from Volume 3 of the Mike Judge collection)

The second one is the finalized version; the first won't be released. Looking at the cover of volume 3 on TV Shows on DVD, I can see how 3 and 4 are similar and thus it would be a little confusing to differentiate between the two. However, I notice their covers haven't been consistent to begin with. Volume 1 only had Butt-head, so you would think volume 2 would have just been Beavis. Heck, the new one doesn't even mention the Mike Judge Collection or carry the same logo. The DVDs are just a mess, but they'll never be able to release the show in its full glory anyway.

The copy machine episode last night was classic B & B-H: kind of figured that once Beavis got freed from the copier, Butt-Head would tell him to go sit on it again!

Volume one had Butt-head on one-side and Beavis on the other.

I didn't watch this show when it came out, but I have seen a few episodes when I was 12 or so.
The only thing I remember is that there was this episode where they were watching some Silverchair film clip.

I might get it on DVD, as I really love Daria and apparently they are kind of similar.

So, is this show coming back?? I haven't heard anything about a new season yet. I think Judge is working on another movie.
"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."

I've been wondering that myself. I guess it's pretty early for MTV to announce another renewal but given the ratings and the feedback from fans and critics, I'd put my money on seeing a 9th season
