Okay, despite the crummy animation and first few episodes, is volume one really, truly worth getting? It's at my Walmart for ten dollars, and it's the only one I don't have. Fair price?

Didn't somebody say the ratings spiked for the show hard at the time? I don't see why they didn't pull some episodes out of the closet and air them just to maintain interest.

I mentioned this in the "Teen Choice Awards" thread....Beavis and Butt-Head's future is in limbo...Good Vibes was officially cancelled, but MTV have yet to announce their final decision on whether or not Beavis and Butt-Head's revival will continue.

Are you going by that article that immediately followed the cancellation of "Good Vibes" a few months back? MTV knows whether or not B&B is returning. Animation takes a long time to produce, and Mike Judge's episode order for B&B for the network was only half produced for last year's revival. The show is currently airing overseas now.
The show's last season was a great success, earning rave reviews, and it got the numbers expected. They shelled out no $$$ for promotion, and instead focused on viral marketing. It worked. They save a lot of money, and it was the highest rated MTV series just behind "Jersey Shore". Bottom line, it should come back if they're smart. Judge is however doing another show for MTV. Whether or not that's in production yet is unknown.
What's happening now is exactly what happened with the revival season. MTV kept mum until the last possible moment. The NY Post broke the story about the show's return, and MTV said nothing to confirm it until a year later. I'm surprised that no current interview overseas has asked him about another season.

So you think that when the news broke that MTV ordered 24 episodes two summers back, they actually did mean 24 half hours instead of 24 10-minute segments, and we will be getting a second half to that production order? Because that would be cool.

Well, according to a few articles and reviews I read, the views dwindled from 3.3 million to 900,000. And a lot of people didn't seem impressed with it, maybe this generation isn't that interested anymore?

Of course they're not interested. It has a different vibe than the stuff being sold on mtv today. B&B would have found success on any other network. At least comedy central or adult swim would keep brand awareness even if I meant fewer music video like segments
Between the Internet and south park only taking a week to produce... b&b is just simply too slow for some people these days.

I watched new episodes here and there with friends who weren't exposed to the show, and they weren't too impressed. Those who were fans before the revival were singing praises for it, otherwise I think the revival ultimately worked out as fanservice to the longtime fans more than a relaunch.

Judging people based on what they watch on television is fun and if you watch something someone dislikes, you're definitely mentally retarded!

I'm not one to judge, but......knocked up teenagers and oiled up Guidos with caveman mentalities aren't exactly people that should be showcased in a positive light, or viewed in a positive light.

I'm not trying to be offensive, but your friends are not the world. The new episodes won over critics BIG TIME!

The number was 30, not 24.
Judge wanted to do two seasons at least.
The show was still a hit for MTV.
Maybe Viacom should move it to Comedy Central. They would still have access to Viacom shows. Other fans have suggested this.
