Beavis and Butthead could be funny if done right. It could also be a colossal failure just as easily.
I still think Beavis and Butthead: Do America is a funny ass movie and still stands up relatively well. Many of the episodes do not share this same attribute though. The beginning scene of Jackass 3d was a pretty big letdown which is a good of a reason as any to be worrisome about them bringing the show back.
I'd give it a shot but wouldn't be devastated if it didn't happen.
Jamie:
You've made my morning...had a bad weekend (let's just say that Xanax could have been required for my anxiety disorder).
To me, Tom Sloane is 'Daria's' Poochie, the Rawkin' Dawg...I used to belong to a 'Daria' fan-fiction website, and EVERYONE there referred to Tom as 'Poochie' because of me!
I say he should die on his way to his home planet just like Poochie...and take Scrappy-Doo, the Great Gazoon from the 'Flintstones' and D.W. from 'Arthur' with him!
haha tom is like the un-Poochiest character I can think of
^
AARGH!!!!!! You take it back....TYRANT....WHERE'S MY XANAX?!!!
I mean in terms of personality
poochie's loud and cool and in your face, and tom's quiet and lame and soft-spoken
also when tom's not around, no one's saying, "where's tom?"
Although to be fair, in episode 79 he did gain access to a time machine.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?
d debbs I drew this picture for you

Just confirmation that October we get new episodes

Thank you. I've been wondering what the fuck we've been talking about in this thread the last 6 days.
"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."
Does it somehow make sense now?
Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage.
Wikipedia now has the first four episodes listed. Mike did mention these plots at Comic-Con so it's legit.

Real short clip..But something new.

"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."
-Winston Churchill
Ah...nothing like sophomoric humor to look forward to next month...BRING IT ON!!!
It's interesting how the promo even gives special credit to Mike Judge (as many have been doing). MTV's audience doesn't even remember B&B anyway, and the name Mike Judge wasn't all glorious the first time around that it had to be screamed aloud. Guess they're hoping that people will recognize the name from King of the Hill and Office Space...probably not Extract or Idiocracy.

Another new one. So anyone who actually watches 16 And Pregnant and Jersey Shore and all the great programming MTV has to offer out there, are they really even promoting this? There's not even a trace of Beavis and Butthead on the main page of the MTV website, and STILL no repeats scheduled within the next two weeks. I get the impression that MTV is saying, "Yeah, sure, we'll let Mike Judge come back and do his 30 episodes, but we're not going to bank on it being another generational phenomenon here."
October 27th...AHH! THE ANTICIPATION!!!!!
According to Wikipedia (Never a good way to start a sentence) Beavis and Butt-Head's new season starts in the UK in Spring 2012
Also, "Holy Cornholio" airs on October 27th, the second episode "Time machine" airs November 3rd.
Guess that means the episodes (Or at least the Cornholio one) will be longer than the usual 5-7 minutes.
Zap2It has "Werewolves of Highland/Crying" listed as the season premiere. I think we all know the premise of Werewolves by now, but the plot for Crying made me laugh out loud: "Butt-head catches Beavis crying." I can already tell it's going to be a riot.
Watched an interview with Mike Judge at NY Coic-Con, he mentioned that the fourth episode is the Cornholio one (Dunno if he means it airs fourth or is just refferring to production order) but he did say it's a two-parter (But as with all Beavis and Butt-Head episodes, a two-parter just means it will last the whole 22 minutes including the video segments).
He also got a huge cheer from the crowd when he said he would like to do more with Daria.
^
Please...NO MORE DARIA!!!
If she does come back...NO TOME 'POOCHIE THE RAWKIN' DAWG' SLOANE!!!
Oh no, we're not going down this road again.
So this Thursday, we finally get to see the boys return! Am I correct in assuming this will be one of those shows viewable online on the official site or Hulu the next day (like The Office, South Park, Parks & Rec, etc)? Or will it only be viewable on TV (like Futurama)?
^
Yeah, but he's still a character, so the stupid producer can get them back together again...UGH!!!
