does anyone think this run of episodes will be better than last time, based on information we have on the episodes this run? the last run of episodes was pretty good (a couple clunkers but i can't really think of any i would deem 'terrible' or anything), so i hope this run is either equal or even better
hard to believe the second run's almost here. Hopefully it'll be more consistent in quality since the beginning of the reboot seemed shaky. Gonna remain optimistic here
Seeing as this next batch isn't a separate production order, yet a continuation, I'd expect the quality would remain level.
Ah, forgot about that......
Some specific airdates and new plot summaries:

"Yo Leela Leela" being the one that we've heard nothing about before now. It also strikes me as the iffiest plot summary so far.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?
i'll be really disappointed if this turns out to be a typoFry quits his job and becomes a police office.
I think it'd be a pretty interesting character design if it isn't
The crew alters history when they travel back in time![]()
I'm pretty sure they don't really travel through time...or at least it's done in a different way. That's this episode:
http://theinfosphere.org/All_the_Presidents%27_Heads
i just meant that that was maybe the most tepid description of a futurama episode ever
I'm so effing psyched for Neutopia. All the President's Heads is also one I'm looking forward to, although there's a major Bender's Game vibe going against it
just a few more days
Via the Countdown, two more episode plots:
Fry Am the Eggman: Fry nurtures an Alien egg out of which hatches a monster.
Cold Warriors: Fry inadvertently reintroduces the common cold to 31st-century mankind.
Also, although I don't think there's an official premise yet, Overclockwise appears from a storyboard to be about Mom needing to steal/acquire Bender's clock for....some reason.

after they are done with this run of episodes, are they going to start airing them earlier, or are we going to need to wait till next summer for new ones? anyone know?
Well, the 7ACV order of 26 episodes covers 13 episodes each for 2012 and 2013. I guess it's possible they'll air them at a different time of year or something, but no, otherwise it should be the same.

dang, that sucks. i just really get impatient and i absolutely hate having to wait an incredibly long time for new episodes.
I'm sure you guys have probably been following the "Countdown to Futurama" thing, but since the season premiere is coming up pretty soon, here's a few of the most recent clips:
from "Fry am the Egg Man"
from "Overclockwise"
from "Reincarnation"
The episodes premiering on Thursday don't interest me too much, but the episodes later in the run seem awesome and yeah, very weird in a good way.
"Alright, alright, if it will make you happy, I'll overthrow society."
Reincarnation looks way better than I thought it would be. Overclockwise also looks really interesting and strange.
Fry Am the Egg Man sound so...."run of the mill," for lack of a better way to put it. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the premise, but it's just hard to imagine it seeming all that novel on the first pitch ("imagine if you will, a monster on Futurama!"). But yeah, these clips have been great.
Yeah, I feel the same way. "X becomes attached to pet/object/etc" has been done before, but if they can subvert it in some way or simply make it entertaining, then I'm cool with it.
"Reincarnation" and "Overclockwise" sound excellent, but I love those high-concept episodes. "Reincarnation" seems to be getting a lot of hype, so I'm hoping it will live up to it. I think "Cold Warriors" could be really good as well, since it has something to do with Fry's past, which in retrospect we don't know all that much about.
And hey, here's another new article: David X. Cohen on the new season--Part 1
I mean, "Fry has to watch a monster!" would be a neat premise back in season one, when they were still setting up how weird the universe was and we hadn't seen that many monsters, but now it seems less exciting. It could still be funny, though.
Anyway, this clip from the Patton Oswalt episode is pretty good.

Rare "Silence of the Clamps" preview footage:

(Possibly a bit spoilery; runs for over two minutes.)
I have no idea where it came from exactly.
All the clips look pretty awesome. Can't wait for tomorrow night. Really looking forward to seeing more of Overclockwise and Reincarnation, now.
West seems to have settled into Fry's voice by this point, so that's awesome.
Neat David X. interview here, with some more details for this year as well as some for NEXT year too:

The "Earth Certificate" episode sounds so awesome.
Ghost in the Machines preview clip up:

Looks pretty good.
Which Futurama Comics did back in 2002, issue #11, "The Cure For The Common Clod". It was even written by Patric Verrone, who has always, and still does, works on the production of the show... Kinda funny considering the recently-aired Benderama, although not written by Verrone, is very similar to another one of his comics, "Six Characters In Search Of A Story". There's a whole plot in it where Bender finds a matter copying machine and Planet Express becomes overrun with Bender clones. The bookends for the story has the Professor talking to the crew from a bathtub, which is also very similar to the bathtub scene in said episode. Not saying they're copying, it's just very weird how similar these plots are getting.
