I think it was made for a 6th grade audience and that alone

Even though I am huge fan of Itchy & Scratchy and over the top violence and gore in general, I could never get into this show. Not sure why.

It's basically a showcase of violence and misfortune.

Not funny at all, no clever story decisions and terrible animation.

It's good for its audience, which is basically composed of pre-teens who need to experience new things. It introduces them into a soft, inoffensive gore (though a bit shocking at first) and is usually pretty funny in its disgusting way.

I'm not enjoying it anymore, but I did years ago. This is not more stupid or despicable than your average pre-teen show (not clever story decisions? really? does this need or even have a story?) and its animation actually works for its context (remember it was originally conceived as a series of shorts for Internet).

I used to like it in high school, haven't seen that show for years now.
I still remember the scene I liked best though:
That blue deer or whatever it is got his leg stuck under a fallen tree. He used a spoon to remove his leg, which looked like it really hurt.
When he was done spooning his leg off and almost dying of the excrusiating (sp?) pain, he found out that he chopped off the wrong leg.
Guns don't kill people. Physics kill people!

HTF short, Out on a Limb. The animation was crappy at first but now it's better, as good as the Simpsons. Proof:

The fairly old animation isn't that bad, but it's far from smooth running. WARNING: Pic in link is really gory. But still, I know a 9-year old who's seen it.

I like Flippy! He reminds me of a couple vets near us.
This show always makes me think of that Bowie song "The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell"
Years & years of overly cutesy sickeningly adorable cartoon characters created this show. It fills a need.

please don't compare a show that takes 9-months to animate with a shitty internet cartoon

I used to be a HUGE fan. I obsessed like cra-zazy over it.

I'm not as big a fan as I once was, but it's still a fun show to watch.
