    Most appealing/unique animation

South Park is just a given. Construction paper look and choppy movements; the lower quality look automatically makes it funnier. The bug eyes and smiles you typically see on the characters give the impression of a cutesy cartoon, but it ends up being quite the opposite. This was a show I first found out about around first grade and the mixture of animation and swearing and inappropriate themes had me sneaking some peeks whenever my parents weren't around to find out what I was watching.

Another choppily animated show, The Life and Times of Tim. The lack of animated expressions mixed with the dryness of the humor really make it a riot. Season 2 has really improved in the background department, but the staff of the show said they have had to hold themselves back in what they can do artistically in order to retain the amateur animation style.

"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

Samurai Jack has a simplistic-ish style, yet is juxtaposed with huge environments, a diverse range of characters and designs, that makes it an awesome show to look at

Samurai Jack is one of the most visually bland shows. only thing it had going for it was cool framing and killer backgrounds.

right now i've been watching S:TAS and the Tokyo Movie Shinsha episodes are out of this world.

Also choppily animated for the purpose of making the dry humor work.

There's an often gone under-the-radar Japanese movie called Mind Game that has really unusual, experimental animation and it often changes its visual style. Like for instance a lot of time it uses a scratchy, wiggly but surprisingly well animated look (its not the super polished, multi-frame per facial expression style at all.)...then at certain key times they put like.... real faces superimposed onto the bodies of the animated characters. I really can't describe it.

Best I can say is its probably one of the most "experimental" animated movies I've ever seen though...its surprisingly not as incomprehensible as some other anime story-wise at least. I won't say its the most appealing...because people either love it, hate it, or just flat out don't get the movie at all which is understandable, but its certainly one of the most unique things animated. I think it's at least worth one viewing if you're looking for something just completely different while just borderlining batshit insane but not getting all ralph bakshi on you.
