I KNOW nobody bought that, but I'm saying legally we could because it was released and people here seem to be of the opinion that we only watch episodes released on DVD.

i get that, but i don't think anyone would rent it just to watch an episode and discuss it in this thread (unless you're getting at the fact that we could watch them online, in which case, i agree)

since it is sunday and we generally did these on fridays/saturdays i reckon you could reveal it tuesday or wednesday

Man, I really miss this thread so count me in if we're gonna give it a new try; it's at least another reason for me to rewatch more episodes since I haven't done that a lot lately.

And yeah, it would be best if we picked episodes from seasons 1 to 13 (I am one of those who haven't got the season 20 set).

Yeah I did it up in order of who joined first. If more people want to get in on this again they'll be placed at the bottom of the list. But i think for this to work again we must put a few rules in place. 1. No speculation about what episode the person is going to choose. The person can reveal their episode on the Wed/Thursday and that should be it. Since we're all active members it shouldn't be a problem with the oreder or people forgetting about their turn etc. 2. We should try to generate some form of discussions in our reviews rather than just jerking each other off with huge reviews.

Looks fine to me but one question, what's the earliest we can post reviews? Same day episode is announced? Following Saturday?

Yeah the episode will be posted Wed/Thursday and reviews start Saturday and so on.

I'm afraid the confusion is my fault. I probably should've put the new thread in the Episode discussion section but I hoped it would remain more easily accessible on the main page since I assume with the show ending its season this weekend it will likely become the most popular Simpsons topic/thread here, except perhaps Season 23 Information of course...
