this looks awful but whatever.
this looks awful but whatever.
Haha, wow, gross. I wasn't aware that The Human Centipede was all that well-known.
Poor Kyle's the guy in the middle, the position that's well-known as the worst part of the Centipede.
Here's hoping they fix the one-note nature of the episodes that's been going on since a few seasons ago though.
I don't think there's any way to make torture funny, and judging from the clip they're barely trying to. That was terrible and lame.

i'm pretty excited, i just started watching south park a few months ago, and so this is my first time getting to watch episodes on nights they premiere.
that said, that preview didn't entertain me much. i hope the episode is better then that preview
Well this looks like the stupidest thing ever so I guess we'll see where they take. Hopefully it turns out decent.
this episode has an amazing amount of potential to be the worst South Park episode ever.
So, on the SP season 14 DVD, the censored version of '201' is only included, as aired, and even in the commentary, over a full minute of commentary is bleeped out. I can't help but wonder if this is a joke at this point.
Signature.
Shit, seriously? I was probably going to buy this set if that episode appeared uncensored. Now I think I might save my money.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?
Jesus the asshole who made the threat was arrested. Let it go, Viacom.
At this point it seems more about saving face than anything else.
Well, that looks terrible. And it probably will be since the season premiere of South Park always is.
Well, the last SP premiere I really liked was The Ring, which already feels like a long time ago in terms of premiere episodes (half seasons included). Sexual Healing and Poor and Stupid are indeed among the worst of season 14.
Poor and Stupid was possibly my favorite from last season. Guess I'll have to hit the archives and see how it was regarded here.
"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."
Next episode: "Funnybot"
At the schools first annual Comedy Awards, Jimmy announces that the Germans are the least funny people in the world. Germany is highly insulted. They vow that retaliation toward the kids at South Park Elementary will be swift and brutal.

Looks ok, and it's always nice to see more of Jimmy. We'll see..

Didn't expect Thad from Guitar Queer-o to be a special ed kid, but I guess that makes sense now that I think about it.
Matt and Trey won for best animated show at the (first annual!) Comedy Awards on Comedy Central, and made a comment on-air about how being given the award on their own network was sort of like “being Student of the Month and your mom is the teacher.” No doubt this is a reaction to that.
I think it looks awesome.
The preview left me indecisive, although Jimmy nominating and getting the award himself was neat.
I'm going to watch the episode though, at least for the small hopes that this'll be funny as shit.
I'll definitely watch the episode, and the award show aspect looks fine and all, but I dunno...attacking the Germans seems so very cliche at this point. Of course, if executed properly this has the potential to be good.
agreed. the tyler perry/token stuff was pretty funny, and cartman trying to get the germans to kill kyle was great, but aside from those two things it was really terrible.
i get what they were saterizing, but honestly, it was a really pointless target. honestly it felt kind of smug.
Cartman talking to the Germans, and the first appearance of Tyler Perry were funny. Everything else was repetitive and awful.
Episode 1503 "Royal Pudding" Press Release
From the Comedy Central Press Release:
THE ROYAL WEDDING CAPTIVATES IKE
IN AN ALL-NEW SOUTH PARK
ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL
NEW YORK, May 9, 2011 - The Prince of Canada is about to take a princess in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled "Royal Pudding," premiering on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.
It is a joyous time for all Canadians as the royal wedding commences. But just as the prince and princess are about to be joined for all eternity, the princess is abducted! All Canadians are called upon to help save the princess. Ike answers the call to arms.![]()
Although Royal Wedding jokes seem so old hat thanks to the Osama killing (which is also by now getting old), I almost always love South Park episodes revolving around Canadians. This might actually be a good episode. Don't let me down, M&T.

I get the feeling that South Park needs to draw back the scope a little. It feels like every episode it's just incidental that they're both kids and from South Park.
CentiPad had them meet Steve Jobs with Kyle presumably going to Cupertino, last week had Funnybot try to blow up the world after the Germans came to South Park and now its going to center around a Canadian wedding.
Any chance the fourth episode will happen within the confines of South Park? Very few episodes from the last season did.![]()
I feel like many of the original characters have become so one-dimensional (Garrison, Barbrady, the mayor, and I'd say Mr. Mackey if it weren't for Insheeption) or have been killed off (Chef, bus driver, Jesus) that it really doesn't even matter where the stories take place anymore. Barbrady was replaced with the other chief, Garrison is only there to assign homework where he once made obscure sitcom references and acted like a total bipolar dick to the children, the mayor used to be very quirky (her moments in seasons 1-2 were actually uncomfortable for feeling too set up and sitcommy). With the exception of Randy's occasional appearance, the kids basically carry the show now.

I'm looking forward to this episode. sounds better than the first two of the season.
meh, not really here or there on the plot centering around the royal wedding. Hopefully they'll use the canadians better than they did in Canada on Strike
For many, many years now I've really missed episodes that just involved the boys in the town with no celebrity or current events being spoofed. These episodes are fairly rare nowadays but whatever.
if the canada episode centers on terrance and phillip and not just a bunch of canadians we've never met before i'll be okay with it. but really, my big pet peeve with south park these days is that they have virtually no supporting cast anymore, and will spend way too much time on one-note, one-time characters that are basically just the same trey voice every time. that's really my biggest issue with the show now- the show used to do a really great job at creating engaging and fun secondary characters to fill this world they created, and those characters would usually come back and be recurring- but now every newly introduced character is just trey doing the same overly dramatic voice and it's boring.
i'd like to see the show do a bottle show- an episode that takes place in real time in one location with only a core group of characters, just to bring the show back to the main characters a bit. i mean even in episodesl ike funnybot, it doesn't matter who the characters interacting with funnybot are, because the boys literally just stand there and deliver exposition and that's it.
