lisa's one of the most important characters, that only gets a lot of hate because she isn't screaming mad or "being wacky", henceforth taking away the "sheer comedy" of characters like homer, bart, ralph, etc.

Well said, D'ohmer. In all reality, she's just too into herself. She thinks she's so much better than everyone else and to be honest, she's too emo. Although I think she's annoying, I wouldn't put her into the most annoying animated character category because well, there's WAY worse.

guys- she thinks she is better because everyone, because in actuality, and this is going to sound bad- she is. in areas some intelligence, she is basically the only springfieldinite who could actually go far in life, get a good job, etc. you guys say she is annoying, but come on, she is basically the ONLY sane person who hasn't gone all "crazy" over the years {hell, even marge has}, and so it's like her being too "normal" is a bad thing

Well, she's not really normal. Even if she was, that's not what I don't like. I just find her excrutiating in several episodes. She thinks she knows everything, she won't stop talking, she says annoying stuff, ect.

she's "normal" in the sense that she isn't dumbed down like the other characters- she has normal lines, she doesn't try to go all-out in dialogue or anything- literally she is the most normal character on the show

Still, she's extremely smart for her age, which is extremely anormal and sometimes, she is extremely annoying because of it.
