    THE DISNEY VILLAIN FALL THEORY

This is something I did for fun. Im curious of what you think.
I didn't watch all these movies, I just did a lot of research... (Still working on the Simpsons timeline)

    THE DISNEY VILLAIN FALL THEORY

    TEST:
My theory is simple, a large percentage of the Disney Antagonists have been defeated by falling. If its falling to their death or fall to their doom. I’d have to watch and research the all of the Disney theatrical animated features to date.

    RESULTS:
Disney theatrical animated features released to date: 49

    Fall related demise:12
    Not fall related: 21
    Antagonists demise unknown: 6

Films not applicable to Antagonists: 11

    CONCLUSION:
My theory was wrong and my experiment was a fail. But alas a good percentage of Disney Villains did fall to their doom. But After the year 2000, they all ended differently.
NO, not all Disney villains fall to their death.

Don’t believe me? Check out my hard work down bellow….

I'd say you proved your theory. If falling is a relatively un-thought-of demise, then 1/3 of known demises seems to be a "large percentage", or at least a significant one, no?

Nice hunch you had. And I appreciate the factity.

Good theory though, I enjoyed reading this. I just think a 'Falling Death' is easy for Disney to do seeing as you don't actually see the character die, but everyone naturally assumes and knows what has happened.

thanks for the interesting list, seems especially the 90's were a deathly decade for villains. I also agree that "falling" is the easiest way to handle a death, also because the hero/heroine doesn't have to be actively part of the death in that situation. It's more an accident.

Fuck. So much for going into The Princess and the Frog spoiler-free. I gotta stop myself from reading too far ahead. (I inadvertently ruined Cars for myself the same way.)

Sadly, also some good guys tend to fall to a gruesome death.

Still the most brutal moment in Disney animation-history.

I wouldn't expect anything more from Disney Adventures

Interesting theory you had here. Honestly I would've guessed more than 11 died that way

Disney needs to have more deaths wherein a character is brutally and violently torn to shreds. That would really teach those kids a lesson about the real world.

    I agree.

Did you know that Simba was practically the only one who actually tried to kill the villain.
I should of did the rate of accident deaths...

Edit: Wait hang on, Eric purposely killed Ursula in the Little Mermaid.

3 people in a row and I have no fuckin clue who any of you are. Might as well be your first post. Fuckin name changes.

Falling to your death is a lot nicer than getting disemboweled or shot in the face. So I'd say it's the clean death. Maybe the next Disney villain will OD.

I guess you could say the Dwarfs were trying to kill the Queen in Snow White as well.

I do believe that the Villain in Pinnochio is Monstro the giant whale that swallows Pinnochio and Geppeto then crashes into a cliff, mater of fact most Disney Villains dye either by a cliff or on it lol

Hey, this topic can be updated now that it's a year later.

I'd also be interested in reading a list of which heroes/movies actively tried to kill their protagonists (rather than it being something of their own accord, like Gaston, Frollo, Clayton).

Interesting....now the next Disney-related subject can be the number of lead characters who do NOT
    have a mother/father:

Snow White-no mom (she dies after giving birth), has wicked step-mother

Cinderella-also no mom (again, wicked step-mom) father dies

    Bambi-Mom gets shot

    Lion King-father murdered by uncle

Fox and The Hound-Fox's mom dies, is taken care by human.

Aladdin-no mom, later find out from made-to-video movie that dad is alive

Beauty and the Beast-Belle is motherless.

Little Mermaid-Ariel motherless (from made-to-video movie)

That's all I can think of for now.

Nearly every lead in a Disney movie is missing at least one parent by the end of the film. The only two I can think of that aren't are the characters in 101 Dalmations, and Rapunzel from Tangled.
