Episodes that make you generally unhappy

For me, It's pretty much every single ep from the FABF production. Most of the jokes aren't funny, it gets very bland at times, and IMO, even lenny, carl and ralph wiggum seemed overused at the time. It's something that makes me wanna throw an ax at the tv screen.

Anyway, though, this seems to be more "episodes that piss you off", in which I'd say "G.I. D'oh", "When You dish Upon a Star" and most of the rest of my Bottom 15 or so

If it's actually episodes that make you unhappy, I think somebody remarked on the commentary for "Bart vs Thanksgiving" that some of the early episodes were pretty depressing most of the way through but with a happy ending. I'd agree, that episode in particular

Most of the episodes from season 11 just leave a bad taste in my mouth and make me somewhat depressed even.

I have had the fortune of seeing basically all of season 14 so many times through syndication that they have a bland and gloomy feeling whenever they come on TV again. I still can enjoy Scully era episodes quite a bit because I notice new things every time, but the EABF overkill has permanently damaged that batch of episodes for me.

Yeah, the EABF production isn't perfect, with episodes such as strong arms of the ma, barting over, dude, where's my ranch?, bart of war and the first halloween special to have one writer credited, but it's slighty better than the FABFs which i have no interest in anymore.

for someone who has no interest in the FABF's you sure do talk about them a lot

As for episodes that make me generally unhappy... uh... The only one I can really recall actually making me feel uncomfortable watching was It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Marge. Just felt nauseated when it came on TV and turned it off. Normally I'll sit through any of the episodes but... at that one... no.

Yeah, the FABFs are mostly what i've been bitching about. I would complain about S17-21, but i haven't seen all of it.

Mad Mad Mad Marge is frustrating, definitely. The courtroom scene irritates me to no end, almost like fingernails on a chalkboard.

"Homer Vs. Dignity" especially panda rape
Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

I'm surprised Homer's Enemy has yet to be mentioned. Surely there are many fans whose empathy for Grimey makes the episode depressing for them?

Not me, however. I don't think there's a Simpsons episode that has ever depressed me.

My Big Fat Geek Wedding: Ruined the engagement of Skinner and Krabappel after a 7-year relationship and a year-long anticipation. Even worse was when they kept reminding us about it years and years later.

Bart-Mangled Banner: The first episode directly attacking the [President that should never be spoken of again] Administration, in the dumbest way possible. The ending was especially sloppy, also, Alcatraz hadn't been a prison since 1983!

Rome-Old and Juli-Eh: There were so many things wrong with Abe marrying Selma, and the pun titles were becoming increasingly groanworthy.

Mona Leaves-a: Another badly-punned episode, featuring the death of Mona Simpson. Just...why? Why couldn't they leave well-enough alone?

All the Episodes make me unhappy! I love 'em so much, I'm totally there, swept along in the adventure with my favorite family, living vicariously through them,.. then before you know it... the show ends!

(Stage 1) Pleading,.. it never helps

(Stage 2) Loud bawling, ...has never solved the problem either

(Stage 3) More Waterworks .. not as noisy

(Stage 4) Whimpering .. this stage last the longest

(Stage 5) Melancholy ..with sad acceptance of what is

_Marge be Not Proud - sometimes i find it the most depressing episode they have done and can't get myself to enjoy it. Bart is probably at his emotional lowest (Bart vs Thanksgiving is a runner-up)

Although I quite enjoy The Seven-Beer Snitch, the scene during the end credits leaves a bad taste in my mouth, because of the fact that them adding a completely irrelevant scene like that in, just shows how tired the show is.

Another season 16 episode I can't remember does this as well during the credits, with David Silverman showing us all how to draw Bart.

I also detest the whole ending of The Bart of War - so depressing and muddled.

You know, qwertyuio, I never saw "That 90's Show" (luckily), but the fact that it totally dismisses everything set up in past episodes (eg. "the Way We Was"), that hurts a lot. But I'm glad you enjoy it. So it has a reason to exist.
