Spoiler alert... I was interviewed for the special.

I can't wait to see how awkward I look in HD.

Nice. I had a feeling somebody would have to have been interviewed from the Collector Sector.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Morgan emailed me to let me know that 20 minutes of the doc will follow me reading through my booklet of Simpsons trading cards. I even do voices when I read the quotes!

The songs are weird, but I really liked the two other clips. Even thought I think only 40 minutes won't be long enough to make a great documentray, but I will definitely watch it.

I liked the segment from Hank Hill and his three friends. It's great to see Mike Judge get a chance to use his characters to speak their minds about the celebration despite King of the Hill has ended its run.

I am thankful they did not make a segment with Peter Griffin and his friends because Seth Macfarlane would show a huge amount of disrespect from his characters.

Seth MacFarlane needs to wake up and realize that his cartoons will never be as good as The Simpsons, unlike Mike Judge who has always seemed to accept the fact that he could never outdo The Simpsons either.

    Thanks for the upload

Great! I don't really trust IGN TV wise, but it's nice to hear that there's a good review for it.

The special even tackles the idea that recent seasons are nowhere as good as episodes from ten years ago… for a couple minutes.
I didn't think they'd mention that at all, never mind 2 minutes of it...

The most pointed joke in Sunday’s “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special: In 3-D! On Ice!’’ comes when writer Matt Warburton deadpans, “I think Internet message boards used to be a lot funnier 10 years ago.’’

Yeah, when we launched this forum we had less celebrities posting and took fewer wacky vacations as well.

So, is he saying alt.tv.simpsons was the "golden era" for 'message boards'?

Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

The videos felt seemingly appropriate to the occasion, even though most of them lacked the Simpsons themselves.

When I first read the quote I seriously thought he was fessing up to the fact that ten years ago, when message boards hadn't expanded as much to "non-nerdy" people, they were funnier to make fun of and discredit due to simply stating they "have no lives." But then I got it and was like "ohohoho Matt you kooky sumbitch." So even though he was kidding he was kinda right.

I'm not expecting much, but the very fact that Spurlock would even suggest that some people may or may not think that the Simpsons isn't as good as it was ten years ago is noteworthy. It's the one thing even the supposedly "self-sacrificing" show would never touch.

And I do like this chalkboard gag from the upcoming episode as well:

“The world may end in 2012, but this show won’t.’’

I know someone who wrote a press release for it, and after several offers, they had to put this at the bottom:

"NOTE: This not in 3d nor on ice. It is a joke."

Hopefully it'll be on fox.com or hulu, I have no access to a TV at the moment.
