Simpsons Blackout in NY and LA???

LOS ANGELES (AP)—“The Simpsons” could disappear from the TVs of some cable subscribers in New York, Los Angeles and other U.S. markets in a bitter dispute over fees that the Fox television network is demanding.

As a midnight Thursday deadline approaches, Time Warner Cable offered an olive branch that could leave the Fox network and some of its cable TV channels on the lineup for millions of subscribers—for now. But an executive at Fox owner News Corp. indicated a signal interruption was likely.

Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Time Warner doesn't want to pay Fox's "outlandish sums" for Fox content and Football on their cable network and Fox wants to stop letting them transmit their shows.

Oh yeah, New York City and Los Angeles. They totally won't notice the ratings difference.

Fox knows the 'fans' won't yell at them, but they'll go apeshit on their cable company for not 'bucking up' and giving them their programming.

Old news. They have been running "Don't let Time Warner Cable take away FOX!" ads since the beginning of December. FOX keeps applying scrolling text during every 30 minute time slot informing viewers to complain to TWC. Luckily, I won't be affected by this ordeal anyway since I dont use that cable provider.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's no way that this is actually going to happen. And if it does, it own't last for very long.

If it does happen, hope like you said, not very long. I don't know where else I could watch The Simpsons. I mean there are Simpsons websites, I don't know if I can trust them though.

It seems Time/Warners only option is to pucker up and plant a couple dozen wet ones on Fox's derriere!

Rupert Murdoch has already said Fox would rather be a 100 percent cable channel instead of being an over-the-air network anyway as in his words were: "...is a better business model."

This crap's been happening for four years in a row. One time, it was with CBS, which did temporarily block their regular programming.

I'm 90% sure it was TWC. Fox is too powerful.

With the way the show is now, I wouldn't give a damn even if it did happen.

I just heard they finally talked things out and have come to an agreement *Few* Thank goodness. Now I don't have to worry about getting Fox taken away from me. Course there is a little problem, such as the bill of my Cable Network but oh wells. Now I can watch The Simpsons and Family Guy till whenever this happens againXD
