    Favorite Pixar Short

I checked the archives and realized I haven't had a thread like this in five years. With the average rate of about 2 new shorts per movie, I'd say we've had ample time to open the poll further. Which is your favorite Pixar short?

I didn't realize until after I made the poll just how many shorts Pixar has really made. I wanted to do this poll after watching a Pixar Shorts TV compilation special the other day (if there isn't a DVD with this compilation out yet, I don't know why there isn't). Everyone loves the movies of course, but I, and I'm sure many others, are a little guilty of not really realizing how entertaining the shorts are too. It's like clockwork, every time a new Pixar comes out there's a short that comes with it, and then another when the movie comes out on DVD. For me, I've always found For the Birds and Presto to be the two funniest Pixar shorts, but all in all I have to say that my favorite is Geri's Game.

The timing, the humor, the execution of the idea of a man playing chess against himself is just hilarious to me. It's pulled off so well you almost forget that it's just one guy the whole time. That's my favorite, but how about yours?

hard to decide, but i like especially the short films with characters from the big movies, like "Mike's new car" "Burn-E" or "Mater's Tall Tales"

"Knick Knack" is the only one that stayed in my mind, so I guess it made the biggest impression on me.

Definitely Geri's Game, although I'm also really fond of One Man Band. It almost made watching Cars in theaters worthwhile.

Tin Toy - fantastic scope and animation at the time for the eighties. It was engaging and captured all the emotions and the style of a good rememorable story, plus it had a quite christmassy feel with the toys - that none of the other shorts have had (I like Christmas).

Furthermore, that baby was so cute! :P

I voted for Presto, but I also really like Geri's Game and One Man Band

I don't vote for any short that didn't appear in the theaters.
    Presto got my vote!

I think the BETTER question was "Which short do you like THE LEAST?"!!
The answer to THAT would be, "Boundin'".

Probably Presto, although For the Birds and One-Man Band are great as well.

Jack-Jack Attack is also excellent and my favorite short based on a Pixar movie (although Your Friend the Rat comes close).

I like all the pre-movie shorts from The Incredibles (Boundin) onwards. The earlier ones aren't so great. Although...did Geri's Game play with a movie? 'Cos that one's pretty good. Not a fan of the "extra" ones with characters from the films, they're never great.

I voted for Lifted, though Presto was also very good.
