Simpsons animatin cels up for auction

    To anyone interested:

Heritage Auctions has a large auction of music and entertainment memorabilia scheduled for November 6-8. The contents include a couple dozen animation cels from Acme Archives -- two of which are signed by Dan Castellaneta. Two others are from "Treehouse of Horror IX".

If anyone is interested, visit us here: http://entertainment.ha.com/

I was actually thinking about bidding on one of these until I realized that I couldn't fully comprehend all of the rules... add-on fees, bid increments, live bidders, etc. Maybe it's just me, but eBay seems a whole lot easier, even though it's a pain in the ass for a lot of other reasons. Gary, if you could break down the process for me in terms I could understand you might have another bidder.

We do online early bidding through our website until the day before the live auction begins, and it functions pretty much the same as eBay; during the live portion of the auction, bidders who wish to do so make real-time bids via phone, the internet, or in person, and they're competing with each other and the early internet bids. For entertainment auctions, we charge a 19.5% buyer's premium based on the selling price of the lot. (So an item that closes at $100 will cost the buyer $119.50.)
What else would you like to know?
