I hope the show never ends because I think it's currently great, but that will never happen because all good things have to come to an end.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it.
Everything happens for a reason.
Just be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
Don't worry about the world ending today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

it's looking as if next season could be last, if ratings are like this. the only thing i want is a GOOD finale, i don't want them to be unexpectedly canceled and the final episode be Homer getting another job or something, i want the whole family to have big roles
Didn't that happen with King of the Hill?

it might have been similar ya. the only thing in the king of the hill finale that made it feel like a finale was like the last scene or two, and i hope simpsons don't do that
So they might tack on something quick if they ever had to abruptly cancel it.

which is precisely what i don't want. i see a lot of people disliking it {besides the "True Fans!" who say "Yes the only sign this was the finale was the last minute, but it was damn good!"}. of course it's too early to tell...
I would never say that. I think the finale will be better than that.
If there ever was a finale season, I'd want Bart to defeat Bob once and for allThey've done so many ideas for Bart V.S Bob but I'm hopping for a more darker episode for the finale Bob/Bart episode. But yah, if ratings keep dipping than who knows. Fox could randomly decide to end it.

Last Sunday's ratings:
3:00 - Simpsons (r) - 3.40 (#4) - 1.4/5 (#4)
8:30 - Cleveland (r) - 3.69 (#4) - 1.7/5 (#4)
9:00 - FamGuy (r) - 4.61 (#4) - 2.2/6 (#4)
9:30 - Tucson - 3.13 (#4) - 1.4/4 (#4)

And another thing: Sons of Tucson is officially cancelled.
http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/04/05...canceled/47392
Ouch, that wasn't even past a couple of episodes.
The Sunday night schedule on FOX is now getting retooled.

i never gave sons a chance, but it didn't look very good...
It seems unlikely that Fox would send the show off with anything less than a giant promotional bang.
The futon critic has the following news on Sundays schedule
http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2010/...s-sunday/8606/
It suggests that for the next seven weeks we will get two back-to-back episodes of The Simpsons (One repeat followed by one new episode)
During the summer we will get reruns only of animation and probably a mixture of originals and reruns of live action sitcoms.

what matters to advertisers is the 18-49 audience and there, FG is beating the fucking shit out of the Simpsons.

yeah, i would also like to know that.

Last Sunday's results:
7:30 - Simpsons (r) - 2.491 (#4) - 1.1/4 (#3)
8:00 - Simpsons - 5.649 (#3) - 2.7/8 (#2)
8:30 - Cleveland - 5.454 (#3) - 2.6/8 (#2)
9:00 - FamGuy - 6.920 (#3) - 3.4/9 (#2)
9:30 - American Dad - 5.078 (#4) - 2.4/6 (#3)
Well, at least for OFF, that was pretty good news.Fox didn’t have much good news on Sunday night either, as The Simpsons was flat from its last original episode (3/28) with a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, and The Cleveland Show was down 7% from its last original (3/28) to a 2.6 rating. Family Guy was down 11% from its last original (3/28) to a 3.4 rating. In its return to Sunday night, American Dad was down 14% from its last original (2/21) to a 2.4 rating, but that was about 25% better than the now canceled Sons Of Tucson in the timeslot.
Fortunately FOX decided to burn off episodes of that sitcom zombie (I mean living impaired) known as 'Til Death one episode at a time instead of two and instead show a Simpsons repeat before the new Simpsons episode.
Despite "American History X-cellent" being the fourth lowest watched episode of all time, maybe those Simpsons repeats will keep ratings from crashing.
