Correct. I wonder if Fox really has the balls to put the Olympics-episode up against the actual Olympics. Probably yes, since nobody will be watching that. At least hopefully.
    FUCK NBC!

Just so you know, the repeat of OUATIS was #19 of the week with its 3.6 18-49 rating.

I just discovered that CBS is airing the Grammy Awards opposite of Million Dollar Maybe on January 31st, so that could also spell ratings trouble next Sunday even more than the Pro Bowl.

uh, i don't know much about television ratings, but don't CBS's shows (Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, NCIS, HIMYM, The Mentalist) do equal to or better than FOX's shows (House, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show) in the 18-49 demo?
"Look, Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And i'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! Because when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo, that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge. It's Chinatown!" - Homer's rant.

Well, kind of. Only TBBT, NCIS and TAAHM are doing better than The Simpsons and Fox primetime overall is doing better than CBS in adults 18-49. But if a show like NCIS has 21 million viewers and pulls in a 4.2, you can't tell me that the audience is younger. When The Simpsons "had" 21 million viewers, they had more than twice than that. It's a fact that more than 60% of the viewership of the Fox toons are in the target demo, while I'm sure 60% of the audience of NCIS is over 60. Well, at least CBS's Monday comedy lineup seems to be doing pretty well. Both TBBA and TAAHM are regularly pulling in a 5 or even more.

Two new episode in February: "Boy meets Curl" and "The Color Yellow"

    SUNDAY

FOX Sundays in February offer up all-new back-to-back episodes of ‘TIL DEATH; a trip to the 2010 Vancouver Games on THE SIMPSONS; Seth MacFarlane’s special Valentine’s Day installments of THE CLEVELAND SHOW, FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD Feb. 14; and all-new “Animation Domination” episodes.

    Sunday, Feb. 7

    ‘TIL DEATH (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) – “Not-So-Perfect Couple”

When Joy (Joely Fisher) urges Eddie (Brad Garrett) to get a check-up from their doctor, Simona (guest star Susan Yeagley), Eddie becomes enamored with her, her husband (guest star Kevin Nealon) and their seemingly perfect life. Joy becomes annoyed when Eddie takes Simona’s advice, even though Joy has been nagging him for years, and decides to prove that Simona isn’t as perfect as she seems.

‘TIL DEATH (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) – “Independent Action”

When Eddie attends their annual baseball game date without Joy, the two realize that they can have separate lives, but at what cost? Meanwhile, Ally (Lindsey Broad) and Doug (Timm Sharp) try to save a tree but end up causing a tree-disease epidemic in the neighborhood.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “O Brother, Where Bart Thou?”

Brothers Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Cooper Manning; Kim Cattrall; Jordan Nagai; and The Smothers Brothers make special guest-voice appearances in an encore episode about Bart’s (Nancy Cartwright) search for a brotherly bond.

THE CLEVELAND SHOW (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “A Cleveland Brown Christmas”

In an encore episode, Cleveland (Mike Henry) tries to right his eggnog-fueled wrongs by restoring Rallo’s (Henry) Christmas spirit, and Roberta (Reagan Gomez) tries to save a reindeer.

FAMILY GUY (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Business Guy”

In an encore episode, when Peter (Seth MacFarlane) gives Lois’ father (MacFarlane) the bachelor party he never had, Mr. Pewterschmidt slips into a coma and not even Dr. House (guest voice Hugh Laurie) can bring him out of it. With her father incapacitated, Lois (Alex Borstein) is given control of Pewterschmidt Industries, and Peter convinces her to let him run the operation.

    AMERICAN DAD (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Rapture’s Delight”

When the Smith family goes to church, Stan (Seth MacFarlane) is furious that he can’t get a good seat in an encore episode. While Francine (Wendy Schaal) tries to ease his frustration, a moment of divine intervention occurs and the ultimate fight between good and evil begins.

    Sunday, Feb. 14

‘TIL DEATH (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) – “Snore Loser”

After Eddie gets treatment for his sleep apnea and stops snoring, Joy realizes that she relied on his nighttime annoyance to help her get to sleep.

    ‘TIL DEATH (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Break-Up”

When their friends (guest stars Yeagley and Nealon) have a fight and break up, Eddie and Joy step in to try and restore the peace, but it ends up backfiring on them. Meanwhile, Ally sends Doug to a shrink (guest star Mayim Bialik) to cure his mysterious illness.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “Boy Meets Curl”

The Simpsons head to the 2010 Vancouver Games where Bob Costas (guest-voicing as himself) reports, and Marge (Julie Kavner) and Homer (Dan Castellaneta) compete as part of a curling team.

THE CLEVELAND SHOW (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Buried Pleasure”

In a special all-new Valentine’s Day episode, Holt (guest voice Jason Sudeikis) admits to Cleveland that he wishes he had a special someone in his life. Determined to help his lonely friend, Cleveland introduces Holt to the cat-loving redhead Jill (guest voice Fergie). Meanwhile, Cleveland Jr. (Kevin Michael Richardson) and Rallo anticipate the “birth” of Rallo’s pet fish.

FAMILY GUY (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Extra Large Medium”

When Chris (Seth Green) and Stewie (Seth MacFarlane) get lost in the woods for days, Lois is at her wits end until she sees a psychic (guest voice Michelle Lee) who assures her they will return. After they find their way back to Quahog, the psychic obsession continues, and Peter takes it one step too far when he starts charging neighbors for his extrasensory perception. Meanwhile, Chris finds a crush at school in an all-new Valentine’s Day-themed FAMILY GUY.

AMERICAN DAD (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “May the Best Stan Win”

Stan gives Francine “love coupons” for Valentine’s Day, but when his CIA cyborg arrives, he would rather learn about the future than fulfill the coupons. Meanwhile, Roger (Seth MacFarlane) helps Steve (Scott Grimes) and his friends remake a classic ‘80s movie.

    Sunday, Feb. 21

‘TIL DEATH (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) – “Perfect Couple”

When Eddie and Joy befriend Stephen (guest star Nealon) and his wife Simona (guest star Yeagley), Eddie clicks with them right away causing Joy to feel left out. In an effort to win Joy over, Eddie coaches their new friends on her all her likes and dislikes. Meanwhile, Kenny (JB Smoove) starts a new job as a supermarket sample salesman only to realize that sample distribution can be a competitive business.

    ‘TIL DEATH (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Check-Up”

When Joy convinces Eddie to visit Simona (guest star Yeagley) for an annual check-up, he catches a nasty head cold before his big interview with a Hindenburg blimp survivor. Meanwhile, Joy can’t understand why Simona won’t pay her a compliment.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “The Color Yellow”

In an all-new episode, Lisa (Yeardley Smith) discovers that her Southern ancestors helped a slave, Virgil (guest voice Wren T. Brown), escape to freedom and presents her family’s story during Black History Month.

THE CLEVELAND SHOW (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Curious Case of Jr. Working at The Stool”

Cleveland teaches Junior responsibility by challenging him to get a job, and to his own delight, Cleveland Jr. lands a job working at The Stool. However, when Cleveland Jr. starts commenting on the number of beers his father consumes and sets limits on the guys’ time at the bar, a feud erupts between father and son. Meanwhile, Roberta competes with Lacey (guest voice Ashley Tisdale), the rich girl in school, and gets more than she bargained in an all-new episode that also features guest voice cameos by David Lynch, Ed Asner and Kristen Wiig.

FAMILY GUY (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Road to the Multiverse”

With the help of an out-of-this-world remote control, Stewie and Brian (Seth MacFarlane) travel through alternate universes, including a post-apocalyptic world and a parallel world run by dogs where humans are pets, in an encore episode.

AMERICAN DAD (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Return of the Bling”

When Stan admits that his heroes include Ronald Reagan and the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, including Michael Eruzione and Rob McClanahan (guest-voicing as themselves), Roger confesses that he played on the team as Chex LeMeneux. But when Roger comes clean that he took steroids to win, they both lose. Meanwhile, Reginald (guest voice Erik Durbin) tries to win over Hayley by taking her to a concert.

    Sunday, Feb. 28

    ‘TIL DEATH (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) – “Can’t Elope”

When Joy goes overboard planning Ally and Doug’s wedding, Eddie convinces them to elope, and Kenny agrees to marry the young couple on top of Eagle Rock. After Joy finds out about their plans, she convinces Eddie to help her stop the wedding.

‘TIL DEATH (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) – “Check Mate”

When the Starks meet Simona (guest star Yeagley) and Stephen (guest star Nealon) for dinner, they decide to stick them with the bill, which results in an all-out dining-and-ditching war between the couples. Meanwhile, Joy makes Eddie’s life miserable at work.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “The Devil Wears Nada”

In an effort to raise money for charity, Marge and the “Philanthro-Chicks” decide to pose for a calendar in an encore episode. At the photo studio, Marge is a bit reluctant to reveal any skin, but the photographer (Hank Azaria) loosens her up with wine and before long, Marge and her pin-up poses are the talk of Springfield.

THE CLEVELAND SHOW (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Cleveland Jr. Cherry Bomb”

Cleveland has “the talk” with Roberta, which scares Cleveland Jr. into taking a vow of chastity. Meanwhile, Rallo becomes a church greeter in an encore episode that also features guest voices by Jason Sudeikis, Arianna Huffington and Jamie Kennedy.

FAMILY GUY (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Family Goy”

When Lois finds a lump on her breast, she goes to the doctor to get tested for cancer in an encore episode. The tests come back benign, but the doctor looks at her family medical history and reveals some news about Lois’ heritage. Peter takes to the family’s newfound faith eagerly, but when he is visited by the ghost of his father (guest voice Charles Durning), he changes his tune.

AMERICAN DAD (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Home Adrone”

Steve is left home alone when the family takes a trip to look at a potential college for Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane) in an encore episode. When his friends arrive and realize he has the run of the house, they persuade Steve to break the rules. They’re soon in over their heads when they discover that what they thought was a video game is actually a military-controlled drone.

And another thing: Huge ratings for Fox thanks to the Vikings' fumbles. Now why do I post this here? I want to know if or how many promos for next Sunday's episode anyone has seen during the game. If only 1% of the people who saw the promo will tune in for the episode, that would ad 520,000 viewers.

On a side note about Sundays schedule, Fox must be determined to make "Til Death" a success since they will be showing TWO NEW EPISODES PER WEEK until I assume all new episodes have been shown. FOX needs to quit being selective on what they want to succeed since they didn't even have this much determination with Arrested Development.

Boy, you couldn't be more wrong. Fox apparently wants to burn off the remaining episodes of Til Death as quickly as possible. And I think by putting them on Sundays, they tought they might attract a little more viewers since Sunday is (animated) comedy night at Fox. If you look at Til Death's ratings, you immediately see that that show cannot be turned into a success. It's cancellation is inevitable. Just look at the Cancellation Index on page 2. People talk about The Simpsons doing worse that they did 10 years ago, and TS has a 1.23 on the index. TD has maybe about a .25. That sucks, no matter on what network or in what timeslot.

I bet the only reason FOX has been keeping Til Death is because it is the only live action sitcom they have and no others have worked for them.

The reason why TD is still around is because the production costs literally (well, almost) nothing. A nice way to fill the airtime. But it can (and will be) easily be replaced by even cheaper reality crap.

OK, here's something that might seem pretty pointless now, but can become quite useful as the season continues and the ratings continue to drop: A list called the Cancellation Index.
Let me explain it to you: We take the average 18-49 demo result of the network Fox and compare it to those of its (scripted) shows. Shows that are above that average (ergo have a higher number than 1) are usually in no danger, while shows that are below might get axed. Well, here's Fox's list (again, this only includes scripted shows and is updated weekly):

    Til Death - 0.20
    Dollhouse - 0.23
    Brothers - 0.24

    Fringe - 0.57
    Lie to Me - 0.70

    Bones - 0.76 - Renewed for 2 seasons in May 2009
    Glee - 0.76 - Renewed for a 2nd season
American Dad - 0.82 - Officially renewed for a sixth season
    Human Target - 0.88
The Cleveland Show - 0.98 - Renewed for a second season before its premiere
24 - 1.03 - Many sources indicate that 24 is in its final season.
Family Guy - 1.12 - Seth is contracted until 2012
    The Simpsons - 1.13 - Renewed for 2 seasons in April 2009
    House - 1.21

    Red and underlined: officially cancelled
    Red: likely to be cancelled
Orange: Might be in danger of cancellation
    Green: Likely to be renewed
Green and bold: Already officially renewed

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because American Idol's high numbers completely screw Fox's average ratings, last year's index was measured without AI, while this year's list will include AI, so the numbers of every show will or at least should be lower than last year. For comparison, here's last year's final index:

Federer really kicked Hewitt's ass. GO ROGER!
Anyway, seems pretty high considering an Aussie was playing in Melbourne.

But Fox will probably show all 4 shows on the same night in fall of 2010 since their "Animation Domination" is a marketing ploy.

Clearly, you haven't read the whole thread. Fox has 2 new animated sitcoms in the pipeline, which means that they probably won't show all of them on 1 single night. Ergo, Animation Domination will expand to another day which means that...
you know what, go figure it out on your own.

What are the names of the two animated sitcoms in the pipeline? I looked on fox.com but nothing is official.

One is called "The Bradleys" and the other one has no title yet. And I forgot to say that there already is speculation of another Seth MacFarlane show, so... yeah.

    oh yeah, right.

anyway, I have the early ratings for Million Dollar Maybe here:

    Fox/Sunday
    8:00 p.m. – The Simpsons: 3.5/ 5 (#3t)
    8:30 p.m. – The Cleveland Show: 3.0/ 4 (#4)
    9:00 p.m. – Family Guy: 4.2/ 6 (#3)
    9:30 p.m. – American Dad: 3.1/ 4 (#3)

that is really low. no record low, probably, but a 3.5 is probably about 5.6 million viewers, which sucks. But hey, the Grammys were on...

Oops, guess I was wrong. New record low: 5.110 million viewers and a 2.4/6 demo.

    8:00 - The Simpons - 5.110 (#3) - 2.4/6 (#2)
    8:30 - The Cleveland Show - 4.530 (#4) - 2.2/5 (#3)
    9:00 - Family Guy - 6.212 (#3) - 3.2/7 (#3)
    9:30 - American Dad - 5.059 (#3) - 2.5/5 (#3)

OK, season lows for all shows, series lows for The Simpsons and Cleveland and maybe for AD as well. First time this season that AD beat TS.

    Table coming asap.
I previously predicted Million Dollar Maybe would be the lowest rated episode ever but it was mostly due to the plotline being the lottery win. It looks like I was right. Last year's Lisa the Drama Queen aired a week before the Super Bowl and that episode managed to hold the "lowest rated episode" record until dethroned by that "quadrilogy episode". Fox should now avoid showing new episodes on the Sunday before the Super Bowl because it has evolved into a death wish. Next year they should think seriously about showing a new episode after the Super Bowl.

You were right, but probably for the wrong reason. If you look closely, you can see that every single show, including Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, were down A LOT. I'm predicting that this episode will stay the lowest-rated episode ever for about a year. But on an interesting note: If TS's lowest outing (a 2.4 in the demo) would be the average of the entire season, Fox would probably still renew it. Not to mention that TS are still #2 in their timeslot.

But on an interesting note: If TS's lowest outing (a 2.4 in the demo) would be the average of the entire season, Fox would probably still renew it. Not to mention that TS are still #2 in their timeslot.
The simpsons were also competing with the Grammy awards yesterday. That was also a contributing factor. Since FOX has also NEVER shown a new episode opposite of the Oscars, I would recommend that they should extend their policy to the Grammys.

There is a good possibility that a new episode could air opposite of the finale of Survivor: Heroes vs Villians. That could cause such an episode to set the new record.

Mona Leaves'a was a previous "Lowest rated episode" ever and it aired opposite of the finale of Survivor: Micronesia.

It's amazing how you can be smart and ignorant at the same time. I was suggesting that the loss of viewers was because of the Grammys all along. It will be interesting to see how the Curling-episode does.
