Stan Lee was actually a well-used guest star. I guess I'm biased, but still. The whole comic plot was pretty good, and the show didn't rely on Homer's stupidity for once--just his anger.4/5

Really very quite good. I liked it, it had a great story.

and to Laika, if this was based on your life were you the owner of a big trendy corporation that put retarded things on the internet?

I loved it too...I'm glad Homer didn't actually turn into the Hulk. Although I do wish he was 'the hulk' for longer...
Not all that bad, the first act was great however the show died down again, and regained itself with the end of the third act.
Stan Lee was an okay guest star but until he started losing his mind I thought we were due for another Richard Gere.
3/5 I say.
Marge: Homer, has the weight loss tape reduced your appetite?
Homer: Ah, lamentably no. My gastronomic rapacity knows no satieties.

Very good episode.
The last couple jokes didn't do much for me, so it left a bad after-taste in my mouth, but all in all, very good.
5/5! Excellent! So far, the best or second best of the season, IMO. The only thing I didn't like was the long period of Homer being angry at the end of act II. Also, Angry Dad the internet cartoon was a pretty low quality flash cartoon to become famous in 1 hour. Everything else was great though. Good parody of internet cartoons too, and how stupid they can be!
At the end, I was worried Homer was going to act like the Hulk for a long time and it would be lame, but they kept it under control, and I actually liked that sketch. Thank God he didn't really turn into the Hulk!
Very good episode. I am so glad that Homer didn't actually trun into the Hulk. Probably one of the best of the season. 4.5/5
Best of season 13 so far. I was worried about the Hulk thing, but it turned out fine. Comic Book Guy was funny, as was Stan Lee. I liked Homer in this episode, he wasn't as stupid as usual. And the Dan doing himself as the voice actor thing was funny. The Ralph lines were good. Bravo, Al.

Hillarious episode. Im a big comic book geek and internet comics and this was fantastic. Great amt. of laughs and a overall good plot. This is my first 5/5 for season 13, hopefully not my last

Ok going into this episode I was pretty sure I would hate it, but it was quite the opposite. I actually thought it was one of the best of the season. Good jokes about the repo business, stock jokes, bin laden bit,umm lots of other stuff too. Homer was kinda wacky but not too bad for the way his character needed to be tonight. I thought the 3rd scene was gonna be really bad and all of a sudden turn unrealisitc after seeing the commercial where Homer was Hulk but thank god he didnt actually turn into Hulk, it was just paint. That part wasnt too good but it could have been a lot worse. Oh yeah the opening act was very good too. Good episode...8/10 yeehaw!
edit: oh yeah the porno jokes were good too, IMO second best of the season behind The Bart Wants What It Wants

Forgot the mention something. The Osama Bin Laden joke seemed low, even for Simpsons standards. Seemed a little bit of a filler, and it was quite gruesome/un-simpson like.
Above all else, it won't age well.
Very nice episode. It seemed short though. They used the characters good. I'm not sure how to rate it. I also thought it was funny Homer used the correct plural of cactus. Stan Lee was pretty funny.
I'm conflicted a bit with this one. I really respect it because it was structured very well. But all the jokes were just chuckles really. I didn't laugh out loud very much at all. I laughed, just not THAT hard. And I'm very glad they gave an explanation for Homer's bumps at the end, because I was really worried about that. Also, Homer did irritate me a bit. But the satire in this episode was very well-done, and Stan Lee was good too. But a somehwat negative trait of Swartzwelder was there too - making self references. There was yet another Where's Springfield? reference, although this one was more subtle and funny than usual. But I don't like how Swartzwelder points out stupid things, like Skinner's "I was wondering why she was standing there" thing, and "Can I have the last word in this scene?" thing. They're not funny and unnecessary, and detract from the episode. Also, what was with Marge and the coins on the bd hitting the ceiling? Also, the barf thing was a little odd. BUT these are all little problems, and as a whole, the episode was strong. Ah, man, this is hard to review, but I'll probably go with 4/5 in the end. Maybe after I watch it again I'll know better.
Signature.

Great episode. I gave it a 5/5.
The funniest part was the online cartoon animations. I especially like the newspaper one. It was a classic.
All in all, a good episode with a plot that is somewhat believable (unlike most of the episodes this year). It seems more like classic Simpsons than anything else this year.

5/5, laughed throughout. Probably my favorite episode of Season 13.
Loved the Castellaneta look-a-like doing Homer's voice, and all the Angry Dad 'toons. Stan Lee, CBG, and Homer as the Hulk were all hilarious. If I had to rate it, I'd give the second act an A+.
Heh heh... Bin Laden in a Blender. I bet that's on some site, and if not, it'll be done soon.
Boo Yah! That episode kicked ass, my second favorite (She Of Little Faith is 1st) of the season. Someone should register that domain, because it seems FOX hasn't
Don't nay-say the Osama in a Blender joke, I'll tell you why. There ARE LOTS of internet cartoons where people and animals are floating in blenders and you push the button to kill them. I'm sure people who aren't familiar with net cartoons enjoyed the episode a lot less than people like me.

Tonight's episode was just not very funny. The story flowed well, but it just wasn't that great. Stan Lee's guest appearance shouldn't have been stretched out so long, it wasn't very entertaining. The angry dad cartoons were somewhat amusing as a parody of similiarly poor animations found in that context on the internet, but they weren't so funny on their own. The slapstick humour was pretty good, one of this episode's only bright points.
We can debate the merits of this episode to death, but it comes down to whether or not it was funny. To me, the jokes just weren't any good. It doesn't matter what I liked or didn't like about the story if it wasn't funny. The title for this episode should have been taken from one of it's only amusing gags: The Boring world of Niels Bohr.
This Bohring episode gets a 2/5 from me.

i loved this episode, but did anyone notice that right after moe got into homer's car and crashed the car into a pole (setting it on fire), they showed homer's car parked in front of the garage at their home. that was the only weird part

I disagree. For one thing, its Osama Bin Laden, who cares?!? Second, there are literally TONS of Osama Bin Laden flash cartoons on the internet, and they're all pretty violent and stupid. This was a great parody of those.Originally posted by or_smth

Definately the third best ep behind "Half Decent Proposal" and "The old man and the Key", tonight's ep was hillarious and I found two lines/jokes gut bustingly funny:Originally posted by Ned Flanders272
i loved it!!!!
Krusty: Get me that animal that chomps on my groin!
Secratary: You mean Susan Antwon?

CBG: (To Stan Lee) You couldn't even change into Bill Bixby.
Also, Stan Lee was the best guest star in a very, very long time!

PS: NedF272, take good care of that picture.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

A very rewarding episode and by far the best since "Half-Decent Proposal" or "The Old Man and the Key". I won't mention all the good jokes here, there were too many ones. The satire of how and why the public responds favorably to media (art imitates life is the key word here, and how funny people find it when they relate) and the great lengths people go to keep the material coming, artificializing the reality in the process. The parallel to the rise of the Simpsons is evident. Also, all the little commentary on comics is great. A episode.
