Has anyone noticed that, season 4 had a blue cover - season 11 had a blue cover. Season 5 had a red cover - season 12 had a red cover. If they keep this up then season 13 will have a black/gray cover.

I noticed that too, but I think its just a coincidence. Season 5 has more of an orange tint than season 12 does. I'd expect a green background for season 13.

A good idea if Moe is featured is that the box head should have his face smiling like in "Pygmoelian"



It would have been better if it was for Season 11 because "Pygmoelian" was in that season.

Apu would good for season 13 with a green box and Kwik E Mart art for the inside.

Meh, Titania should be on S13's cover, even better, make the cover look like a Smarch calander.

has anyone else been upset with the recent lack of creativity in the DVD covers? I mean they're boring all it is, is a character dressed up a little with a colored background. Either go with a couch scene like 1-5 or continue like they did with season 6-10 with the character and a fun background. Just make them interesting

The cover may not be as exciting, but there is so much more artwork inside the box. Anyways, I like the simplicity of featuring one character, with a more complex scene inside.

there are... like many mediocre and forgettable ones for me but it's not really too much of horrible or anything and the quality seemed to have picked up after jean took over. i don't think i'll really be excited by the release of this season

do you think it is below/above season 12 in quality? i haven't seen like more then 4-5 episodes in a long time so my memory is fuzzy of this season

i am not exactly sure if either one is better but season 12's best episodes(the computer wore menace shoes, worst episode ever, skinner's sense of snow, trilogy of error, etc.) , to me, easily edges season 13's best but season 12 episodes stunk, it stunk worse than the bottom episodes of season 13. i just prefer to think that season 12 has a wider 'range' of quality and season 13 was more 'consistent' with the mostly meh-ish quality of its episodes. i think i would be more excited to by season 12 dvd (haven't bought it yet) than season 13 dvd to be honest

OK, I'll judge when i buy this DVD. i hope i like it more then 12, to me 12 is average, or so, probably a little below

I like S13 in the same reagard, but I don't consider "Little Girl" to be the best because of the cop out ending where Lisa lands perfectly on the cake. It would've been much more creative for her to totally miss.

eh, but the master prankster bart aimed the ball to the cake lol. and while i am not really much fond of cop-out actions, the ending of little girl in the big ten was much less pronounced of its bullshit-ness than many other cop-out action endings, like that of double double boy in trouble.

i can't judge more then these three episodes because i haven't seen the rest in months and months:

THOH XII- C+/B-. i liked the first segment, the third, and the second, in that order of course.

Homer the Moe- D-/C. not bad but certainly not great.

She of Little Faith- B+/A-, a hilarious episode.

why not do both? have an eye catching cover and an awesome inside artwokr display. Besideds it would be smart of FOX to want to have an eye catching cover to attract whose who aren't die hard Simpsons fans just looking for a season to watch

why wouldn't they? DVD sales are huge for seasons. and besides every seasonal thread is started early, with the first few pages speculating about art and stuff. That's what they are for. once we know more stuff yes, we post it, but for now it is fun to speculate.

i doubt this show would be like King of the Hill or something and just stop releasing them. this show sells very well on DVD. and season 11 wasn't officially announced until over 20 some pages in it's thread, IIRC
