Ya, but personally I would never want Patty and Selma on a cover of a season. I think that they should stick to more prominent or funny characters.(I may be biased here because I never find Patty or Selma funny)

Patty and Selma would be interesting, maybe working at the DMV and that would be the art? I don't know.

^ I could see that working. I just hope that they use more prominent characters than Patty and Selma on the covers. It wouldn't be the worst thing though. I'd rather have Patty and Selma than have them go to some real second-rate characters like the Sea Captain or Bumblebee Man.

That's the point. Neither do Bumblebee Man or Sea Captain

I know. I can't think of the last time I saw the Sea Captain. My personal favorite Sea Captain quote, "Lard Ho!" Something about that just makes me laugh everytime I watch it.

He could be on s17 for The Wettest Stories Ever Told, the setting took place at his restaurant. They probably won't though.
But anyways, really excited for this set, I can't wait till it comes

Ya I'm really excited for this set too. I really feel that it has a lot of good episodes. Regarding season 17, I want Willie on the cover because of "My Fair Laddy", which is probably the only episode that will be focusing on Willie even though I can't stand that episode. And Groundskeeper Willie makes me laugh.

You two, take your mindless chatter out of this thread. I dunno why it was even revived since there's no new information.
- We know they've done commentary for this set, hence 99% probability it will have all the usual special features.
- We've discussed who we think will be the character on the box for 5 pages already.
- There are other threads that discuss possible characters for later Seasons, revive one of those if you really have to.
I genuinely don't understand how everyone can keep going round in circles, posting the same shit over and over without getting bored.

Personally, I am very fond of Patty and Selma, and they do make me laugh often.

Thanks.
Mr. Burns will probably be on season 15. There are only a few Burns episodes in the Jean era, and season 15 has the best one: Fraudcast News.
And he's also a very popular, recognisable character - so I wouldn't doubt him being on there.

Well since s20 is out, I think this had a good reason to be revived. Clearly it's going to be out in a few months.
And besides, as I stated, s11 DVD thread was made MONTHS before it was out and people posted the same stuff over and over

Well, as they've failed to release any form of official press release about it and the fact that a DVD was just released proves the wait is going to be more than just a few months.
Remember on the 2 seasons a year structure there was quite a few months difference, e.g:
A release in December 06 for season 9
A release in August 07 for season 10
These are key dvd shopping buying times - Christmas and the Summer when all the good TV shows have finished their seasons and are writing for the next season.
Also don't forget they may revert back to the one season a year possibility and count season 20 as a worthy candidate for 2010.

for me a few months means 7-8 months, so right around September/October is what I was thinking.
They better not count 20 as the official one release, that would suck and it would probably mean well into 2011 before another, which would be BS. But then again it's Fox, so...

Well then, I'll talk about something that has yet to be mentioned in this thread. Do you think that they'll include the full documentary with this set, or do you think they'll save that for a future release?

Possibly, but knowing FOX they'll probably release it seperate as a short film of achievement.
Or wait until the special-features filled season 20.
Right now, your guess is as good as mine...

That's what I said.
But I doubt they're going to do a barebones s21 Bea, FOX aren't that dumb.

you said "put it in the real season 20, or for 21."
You should have said for the real season 20 or the real season 21
Because there's a slight possiblity that FOX start a trend of releasing the seasons with no special features like season 20 after the season has finished airing.

Well clearly I meant real box, it's redundant to think I meant anything else. Fox ONLY released s20 because it was the 20th Anniversary. They're going to go in order now

Source?
Because life is predictable - I don't think none of us thought that FOX was going to release season 20 ahead of season 13 originally. Who knows what they could do next?

Ok, and can we also discuss the quality and the contents of season 13 instead of guessing into what the release-order will evolve and which characters will be used for the cover?
Not looking forward to the audio-commentaries, Al Jean has a rather annoying voice and is definitely no Mirkin who can put some entertaining sarcasm in his commentaries.

Personally, I don't mind Jean's voice. And he laughs a lot on these things, and when people on commentaries laugh it up, it's hard not to laugh yourself, I've found.

"One thing I can tell you about this episode..."
He may not be very funny but he is usually informative
