first season I bought was season 4, season 8 was the second.
I still think season 20 is better than season 8.
The first ones I got was 4,5 & 6![]()

Favourite Season - Season 4
The first one I bought was season one in 2001. Bought 'em in order. Except season eleven. Which I bought after season twelve.
Well I don't blame ya!
Well the first one I got was Season 1... then 2, then 3... well, you get the picture - I buy them as they're released and always on release and of course, I always will, even if S20 comes out before 13, I'll buy it, aswell as 13 lol.
I got season one back in '06.

My first was season 2 in late 2005.
I got Season 1 back in the year 2000, I believe it was September 2000 (it came out in England earlier than America I think). Almost as much time has passed since I bought the DVD as it had since it was made when I bought it, crazy...

David Silverman just tweeted this.
Yesterday sat and chatted with Stan Lee as we waited to do a Simpsons DVD commentary recording. He is hilarious, witty, and a good guy.

I think this hints to spring release

I don't think so. On the Season 12 commentary for Treehouse of Horror XI, they mentioned that it was election week, and that Obama had just been elected, which means that that commentary was recorded in early November 2008. And, as we all know, the DVD wasn't released until August 2009.

That they are already recording commentaries
We got no food, we got no jobs, our PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!
Maybe they'll release them both on the same say? S13 and S20 I mean.

2 for 1 would be awesome...
The commentary Silverman tweeted about was probably for season 20.
why would stan lee be there ?
Allow me to answer your question with another question:
If you could call up Stan Lee and tell him to come to a party, and he showed up. Would you really need a reason to call him?
I.E. I agree that it makes more sence for him to record a S13 commentary, but I would let him attend whatever commentaries he wanted to.
Random superhero joke in an episode, lets call up Stan and see if he wants to do the commentary.
They should do an Ep based on 'Who Wants to be a Superhero?', that would necessitate Stan Lee and allow a bunch of characters to parody comic book heroes.
