It seems to take longer and longer, it looks {to me} that they are going to go back to releasing one a year. It might be too early to tell at this point, but still.

It takes longer and longer, because the seasons get crapper and crapper - this is known throughout and therefore sales will get lower and lower.

Only 10-12, IMO.

13+ might do better in sales. Plus a big reason I bought seasons 10-12 were because I haven't seen every episode.

IMO the first airing of season 13 made me stop watching the show, because of the complete change of style after Scully. Of course it sounds stupid now, because season 13 is one of my favourite solo Jean years.

I'm just thinking that the general public only want to buy the nineties boxsets, after all we all no they have been disliking the 00s series, as they have gone along - audience figures and other message boards are a clear example of that.

Pretty obvious now that it's going to be another year. This and S14 are not great seasons, but they have the greatest nostalgia factor, so I'm going to be pretty excited to own them. I'm just waiting until 16 comes out, so then I can legitimately stop waiting for them...

So if season 20 will be the next one out, when will we see this? I really hope they alternate releases with the latest season, then the next old season in line. I want season 20 this winter, and season 13 in spring and then just keep following that pattern.

They'll probably do season 13 in the summer period, whilst OFF isn't on screen, like they did with season 12. But I can definitely see them doing a season 20 release in Winter, being such a current season it would rake in alot more than the season 12 did recently...

what? since when is Season 20 is gonna be released soon?

edit: nm, just saw the other thread. i guess season 13 will be early summer next year then.

The Simpsons Movie was released on December 3 I think, and it did pretty well, so that could definitely be an option.

I think it's a bit stupid that they're talking about releasing 20 before S13... Unless they're releasing S20 this year becuase of the 20th year thing and then they'll go back to releasing it in order. But according to Wikipedia, 13 is released on 15 December 2009... but it's Wikipedia, so not extremley reliable.

has it been confirmed? Becuase before all the madness, I thought it used to be One in August and one in December in America (in the UK it would be September and Jan/Feb)

I love all of them so I always buy them on release lol, but I really like S13 and I'll be a bit disapointed if S20 does come out first, becuase I was looking forward to seeing S13 this year (next year in the UK)

No but the Release dates are usually 2 months ahead and we have already gota majority of the Dec/xmas Dates already. Plus i would assume marketing wise they would want it to release in Jan 2010 to commemorate the 20th anniversary special and all

I'd imagine they would've released the box art and announcement of 13 along with all the 20 info.

It would make more sense to release 20 in December to take advantage of the holiday season.
