Homer's Triple Bypass? I can't place the scene, but in some episode Homer dies somehow and emerges as a ghost, then sees his dead body, then after some consideration goes back to his body (or something).

he also dies in the Hamlet parody, but you're probably not going for that since it's not technically Homer.

Homer has the protracted heart attack in Burns' office, croaks, ghostifies, Burns tells Smithers to "send a ham to his widow", Homer ghost goes "Mmmm... ham" and returns to his physical form.

None correct. Think around, say, season 15.

Interesting how certain questions can sometimes be vague enough to have multiple answers.

Here's another that has multiple answers... Lisa has a tendency to remove her shoes and wield them as her weapon of choice towards Springfield's male populace by pelting them in the head. She has done so on 3 separate occasions.

Name the episodes in question and the characters who were beaned in the head in each instance.

^ I know she did that to Bart at the end of I&S Land.

Anyway it's my turn so here's the new one:
    A non-Flanders character uses a ride-on lawnmower.

    Yes, it isn't a lawnmower.

Lisa bulldozed Homer's BBBQ using a ride-on lawnmower (no doubt borrowed from Flanders) in "Lisa The Vegetarian".

My question still has two answers outstanding... you bagged the easy one due to it being the one classic era instance. The other two are non-classic era.

By "uses a ride-on lawnmower" you mean "mows the lawn with a ride-on lawnmower"?

It's more obscure but Bart hijacks a ride-on lawnmower for a mock recreation of the infamous O.J. Simpson white bronco chase in "The Secret War of Lisa Simpson".

This guy also rides a lawnmower, but I don't think that he counts as a character.

haha shit, my question turned out to be pretty terrible. let's add "non-Simpsons, regular character" to the criteria

Good thing you did. I was about to cite Homer's indoor drunken stint on such a mower in "The Mansion Family" next. (One of three Homer ride-on mower bits I'm aware of... the others leading to the hammock attack sequence from "Grade School Confidential" and the Jigglin' for Justice stamp museum protest in "The Girl Who Slept Too Little".)

Now I'll have to think of another one.

Seems like both of the active questions have run out of steam...

I'll throw out a couple more hints for mine:

"Here's another that has multiple answers... Lisa has a tendency to remove her shoes and wield them as her weapon of choice towards Springfield's male populace by pelting them in the head. She has done so on 3 separate occasions.

Name the episodes in question and the characters who were beaned in the head in each instance."

    Episode 1 - Itchy & Scratchy Land (2F01 / S06E04)
    Episode 2 - ??????
    Episode 3 - ??????

Hint 1 - The other two instances hail from Seasons 17 & 19.
Hint 2 - In neither case is Homer the target.

Ok, another clue for the one I was thinking of: the mower isn't being ridden over grass. And it's not a Flandereses or Simpsons family member.

It's bizarre, I just went to edit the post and there are no spaces there. I posted from my iphone so maybe it added those characters somehow.

Anyway: final clue for mine: the mower thing is gang-related.
