Classic Lisa Episode Tourney Round 3A: "Homer vs. Lisa & the 8th"vs"Lisa the Simpson"

Even though I don't really like the religious foundations of Lisa's suddenly intense morality, it is pretty realistic for Lisa at this point in time, and "Commandment" is a pretty great episode all-around; very funny, engaging, and sweet without being preachy or forced.

And you all know how much I hate "Lisa the Simpson", which sends out a terrible message, pretty much shits all over Lisa's character, completely undermines all her hard work to be intelligent, to learn, to do well in school, and to consciously and purposefully make herself who she is over the series' run. For Lisa to be happy that she has a magical gene to make her intelligent is a really bad characterization for her too.

"Homer Vs. Lisa" is one of my season 2 favorites, so I have to vote for it.

Homer vs. Lisa & the 8th Commandment
Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

Well, what a difference does 2 years make

S9 episode would've been at least been leading by 3 or 4 points right now, but I guess the board has a new way to look at episodes. And yes, I do vote for S2 epiosde

Lisa the Simpson is the better episode here, imo

the ending of "simpson" ruins what was already not a brilliant episode. i think "commandment" is funny, sweet and really rewatchable. gets my vote.

Homer vs. Lisa and the Eighth Commandment was great all around and hilarious, while Lisa the Simpson was mediocre. Homer vs Lisa and the Eighth Commandment, very easily.
