Post-Classic Era Tourney Round 1B: "The Principal and the Pauper" VS "Mona Leaves-a"

Wow, two very controversial (with latter being less so) episodes going against each other... I don't really like either of those with "Principal and the Pauper" being actually better in inner quality, but leaving a somewhat sour taste for me. "Mona Leaves-a" didn't really disgust me whole lot, but I didn't like the quality of the episode itself. I'll think about this for awhile

EDIT: Ignore the thread title error. This should be round 2A, not 1B.

Mona Leaves-a was pretty good imo
"Look, Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And i'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! Because when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo, that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge. It's Chinatown!" - Homer's rant.

    Mona gets my vote.

Principal and The Pauper. Mona Leaves-a was much much worse.

"Principal" is an A-range episode. It's great, and I can't believe how unwarrantably hated it is. "Mona" is probably D/F range, and it deserves all the hate it gets.

Round 1A sees two good episodes. Round B sees two poor episodes.

I can't believe it, but I'm voting for "Pauper", as much flack as I and others give it. It had at least a few good quotes, and "Mona Leaves-a" was a very poor send-off for Homer's mom, who had an amazing debut episode and a pretty respectable second one.

I enjoy Pauper, despite it's premise, so it gets my vote.

Even though "The Principal And The Pauper" is no favorite episode of mine, i'm gonna vote for it. Otherwise, both episodes are equally good in my opinion.

They are probably both F's, but went with "Pauper".

    "The Principal and the Pauper"
Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

-- Homer's parable of the guy in the blue car, ``Homer the Heretic''

    Ralph: I Won! I Won!
Principal Skinner: No Ralph this means you're failing English
Ralph: Me fail English? That's unpossible.

Both sucked balls, but "Mona Leaves-a" was slightly better.
