Simpsons Episode Tourney 1st Round (3): Lisa's Substitute vs Summer of 4 Ft. 2

It's a head to head battle between what are probably the two best Lisa episodes.

Also make sure to vote if you haven't already in the Homer Badman vs I Married Marge match as there is still a day left for that one.

Both are awesome, but I prefer Summer of 4 Ft. 2 it’s just the funnier episode. Lisa's Substitute is very moving though and I enjoy that one too.

I like Substitute better. I like the story line and the subplot, and it has one of my favorite endings.

Lisa's Subsitute; it's the quintessential Lisa episode. I like Summer of 4 ft.2, but Lisa's Sub is the easy pick here.

Summer of 4 Ft. 2. I believe this episode gets more underrated around here all the time.

Both are top 10 episodes and favorites of mine, and it's very hard to choose. I think I'll go with Summer of 4 Ft. 2, but I'm very unsure if that's the right choice.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I should have voted for Lisa's Substitute. If Kit Starter could consider this when taking the results of the poll, and remember that there should be an extra vote for Sub and one less for 4 Ft. 2, that would be greatly appreciated.

Lisa's Substitute is probably in my top 10, as it is one of the most perfect and beautifully-crafted episodes ever. Summer of 4 Ft. 2 may not even make my top 50, so this was an extremely easy decision for me.

Lisa's Substitute. More moving, equally as funny but more memorable and overall I just enjoy it more as a whole.

I like Summer of 4 ft 2 a lot better. It makes me feel good at the end whereas the end of Lisa's Substitute makes me both sad and annoyed at how Lisa treats Homer and gets away with it.

Very very hard choice. Lisa's Substitute recently emerged as one of my favorites (surprise, huh. I was ripping it up last month) while Summer of 4 Ft. 2 also is a great episode.

I'll go with Summer of 4 Ft 2 probably because it had much better jokes. Only few people has noticed that Marge's face looked very dreamy in the morining after Homer bought porn magazines and condoms in the Kwik-E Mart-look-alike.

Summer, because I find Subsitute over rated, though a good one at that. Summer is the perfect combination of humor and emotion.

Ouch. I don't know about this one. If it was accidental I would gladly adjust but I'm not sure a change of mind should be counted as well. Just doesn't seem fair.

It was a close, hard fought battle but in the end Summer of 4 Ft. 2 earns the title of best Lisa episode and an invitation to the 2nd Round.
