Yes! Canada! I hope it's zany like It's Christmas in Canada. More importantly, it better have Terrance and Phillip! They haven't had a prominent role in years! The screenshot seems to suggest Ike will have a part in it too, which is also cool so long as he's not being banged by a teacher (blegh).

A Kenny episode followed immediately by a Canada episode could make this season awesome and make up for a fairly rough start. I hope they continue in this direction of returning the show to its roots. Major Boobage was a step in the right direction, and going back to the end of last season, The List was also a refreshing old school style episode.

This episode will probably be about the writer's strike, so Terrance and Phillip's involvement seems inevitable. And yes, it's about a current (or recent, anyway) event, which is something that began in Season 4, but if they do it in the Season 4 style rather than in the Season 9 or whatever style, then it should be good. If it involves Canada, then it has to be good.

Just saw this a little earlier, definatley one of the best episodes in a while, I really wish they would realise they are much better off doing B-stories.

    4/5 for the episode
5/5 for the boobs, even though you never really got a good look at them.

    PRESS RELEASE

Canada Takes a Stand in an All-New 'South Park' on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:00 P.M. on COMEDY CENTRAL(R)

NEW YORK, March 31 /PRNewswire / -- Canadians want more money and decide to stage a strike in an all-new episode of "South Park," entitled, "Canada On Strike!," premiering on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on COMEDY CENTRAL.

The head of the World Canadian Bureau leads the country into a long and painful strike and the responsibility of brokering a settlement rests with the boys. Meanwhile, people from Denmark flock to the U.S. and cross the picket lines to take the place of the striking Canadians. In conflict over whether or not to stand with their countrymen, Terrance and Phillip uncover the truth behind the outrageous cost of the strike.

After Imaginationland's post above, i'm starting to look forward to the episode even more now; it sure seems like Terrance and Philip gets major roles in this episode and that's great.

Not only did Matt and Trey really attach themselves onto this idea come Season 7/8, but they never tried it until Season 4. (one could MAYBE make a case with Chipokomon) So, thus, his statement is totally ironic...
Well, you're right in that the premise is certainly in the vein of more recent episodes, but the character choices are certainly more old-school (Terrance & Phillip? Canadians? If Kenny gets a large role they'll have completed the trifecta!)

There better be fart jokes. I know South Park has evolved since their frequent appearances, but still.

:-O Okay, NOW I'm excited. This'll make up for me being pissed off four years ago when T&P failed to show in Christmas in Canada (although they made a surprise cameo in Cartoon Wars)...

EDIT: Judging from the clip, this is looking to be incredibly anti-union, which makes sense as Matt and Trey are not members of the WGA...

That was exactly my thought as soon as I saw that pic at South Park Studios yesterday. I think it's called an "continuity error"...

Yeah, wasn't he at least starting to slim down by S10 after putting it all on in S5? And anyway, I'm sure even Canadian celebrities can get enough money for some lipo if he was just being lazy.

Besides, SP is really hardly the right show to even bother bitching about continuity errors within.

Looks like that's what you're gonna get!

    Episode 1205 Announcement
This Week on South Park: "Eek, A Penis!"
While Ms. Garrison is off trying to find a way to become the man he
was always intended to be, Cartman is put in charge of the classroom.

So... does this mean Ms. Garrison will have ANOTHER sex change? If it gets Mr. Garrison back, I'm all for it.

I agree that that would be a nice change. They seem to be trying to put a lot of things back to normal since 'The List' and this might just be the newest addition, anyway I think I'm more excited about the Cartman subplot

The title is pretty funny, and for the episode plot itself; it sounds like an interesting one. If Mrs. Garrison becomes Mr. Garrison again; it would certainly be a nice change. The subplot about Cartman sounds like it will be a good one too. I also hope that we will see characters like Tweek and Timmy again.

But I still don't have too high expectations about the episode, let's all see how it turns out.

I really don't like Mrs. Garrison episodes, but the Cartman plot sounds like it has potential to be really funny, so I'm hoping that's the focus of the episode rather than Garrison.

Garrison is right on his way to go full circle. Now he's going to just be a straight man (having been a lesbian), and next up he'll be back to gay Garrison like the old days.

Aaw, fuck. By this point I'm pretty sick of Garrison - he's been kinda hard to tolerate since the whole sex change bit, and now...

At least the Cartman bit sounds hysterical. I'm worried, though, that it's going to turn out like D-Yikes! - when announced it sounded like a mediocre Garrison plot with a fantastic subplot with the boys, except the latter barely ended up being there at all. And D-Yikes! was total shit.

I'm not looking forward to this one, really.

I'm so damn sick of MRS Garrison. I hope they change it. Not that I want him exactly how he used to be, but something needs to change.

Are they pandering to the fans a little this season? First a Kenny episode, and now Garrison going back to normal? If so, good for them. A certain other show needs to do the same.

I really hope he goes back to normal...his kind of normal at least. The last garrison episodes were a little annoying but the subplot sounds pretty good.

Garrison returning to his old self? Please, please bring back Mr. Hat!

And the Cartman subplot doesn't sound too bad, either...

EDIT: Oh, shit, someone at SPS pointed this out:
i hope this, or another upcoming episode, has the pregnant man thing in it.
Why do I have the feeling...
