This is the first match of the 1st Round of the Simpsons Episode Tournament where 32 episodes will be battling it out for the title of all-time best Simpsons episode. After much research I compiled and seeded what I thought were HNC's top 28 episodes. 4 more were added from preliminary rounds. Here's a breakdown of the field by season:
Season 2: 3
Season 3: 3
Season 4: 7
Season 5: 3
Season 6: 6
Season 7: 6
Season 8: 3
Season 12: 1
Each match will be posted every two days with each poll having a 3 day voting period.
First up is Flaming Moe's vs Homer's Enemy.

i voted for "Flaming Moe's". Homer's Enemy is great too but Flaming Moe's is of my favorite episodes.

Neither are favorites of mine, but "Flaming Moe's" is miles better than "Homer's Enemy" for me.

Homer's Enemy easily. A firm top ten episode for me, sometimes my favourite.

I like Homer's Enemy better. I like Flaming Moe's also, but Homer's Enemy had better jokes (IMO).

Flaming Moe's by far. In my opinion, it's one of the best episodes ever.
I dislike Homer's Enemy. I thought the general story was a great idea but it highlights the epitome of what is wrong with the series right now. Homer was too obnoxious and stupid in this episode.

Homer's Enemy. That one is in my top 25, while I find Flaming Moe's to be slightly overrated.

Flaming Moe wins for me. Funny that I find Homer's Enemy slightly overrated and I felt my symphathy for Homer in FM while Homer in HE was a bit annoying. But it doesn't mean HE is a bad episode; FM is just more memorable in my opinion

I did this tournament a while ago. Still, its good to see another one.
also, I meant to vote for Homer's enemy but I accidentaly voted for Moe's. Could someone change that.

They're both A+ episodes and the best of their respective seasons, but Flaming Moe's is a good bit better.

IMO almost all of the time Oakley and Weinstein automatically beat Mike Reiss and Al Jean.

Flaming Moe's. Although Homer's Enemy is pretty darn good, it just has a lot of Homer being stupid.

I voted for Flaming Moes. I was at a party once where I almost got caught on fire from drinking some flaming Dr. Pepper. I also had a very bad hangover. But it had great memories, which are rekindled by this episode.
Also, it is funnier than Homer's Enemy.

I think Frank Grimes is one of the most overrated one time characters.
Besides, Homer's Moe obsession gets me every time
