Not the best of Bob's outings, but he's a character who never fails to deliver. I'd anticipated this episode for a while prior to its airing, and I don't think it disappointed.

The plot is gripping and well carried out, and I think the two (Homer & Bob) form an amusing double act.

Plenty of great laughs, too, and I find the episode to have that little spark about it.

    Possibly, my season favourite.

I really like this Bob episode, it's not the best with him, but still are really good one.
Homer though is sometimes a little bit annoying imo.

A good solid episode for me, the story was good, but some stuff was also really wacky, especially some of Skinner's behaviour.

One of the better of the post-classic episodes.

Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

Again a pretty good episode. Still the detective being a villian was a sour point for me.

    Strong Arms of the Ma

I didn't like this episode because Marge was so out-of-character. And it's too much over-the-top. C-

    Special Edna

it's good episode, I don't think it is really great, but a nice one to watch. there were nice gags, i liked Little Richard's performance and the ending was great... even though it was broken in the S15 episode though B+

The Dad Who Knew too Little
Probably my favorite of S14, very solid episode all around imo. I liked that the plot pattern took Homer-Lisa conflict to the next level and several gags were pretty good also. A

    The Strong Arms of Ma
Well, the misunderstood third act was supposed to portray the infamous 'roid rage'... which kind of makes it understandable but it did not really appeal me also. first two acts were very fine though C

i don't mind wacky episodes in general, but in the end of this story it's too much imo. Marge acts really weird and also not so funny for me to watch.

The Strong Arms of the Ma

Terrible episode; Marge should never be a jerkass. That's Homer's job.

I great episode brought down by the climax at Moe's to a D+. (Worst of the season.)

    the episode seemed

the episode seemed to go on as it seemed; it wasn't entirely sappy and the episode even gave me a couple of smiles. In fact, I'd consider the episode warm. The ending was great, and Homer's depression was excuted well. The downsides is that the quality could have been much better, and the animation should have improved, even though it was the first episode.

Uh...are you talking about "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire"? Because "Strong Arms" definitely isn't a "warm" episode!

not really a great episode, but not so bad either as long as someone isn't offended of some disrespect for religion, but i think it's ok, even when not every gag is pure gold. But some scenes are really funny imo, for example when Ned builts a new Ark.

3rd act, seriously? Bart's character was way too harsh in the beginning to insult the injury (or some other expression like that) D+/C-

I'm Spelling As Fast As I Can

the first ever episode I've caught in its premiere, it would be another 2 years that i'd become a fan though. Really good episode, works in a lot of way imo A-
