i thought it was pretty decent episode. i don't remember too much about it but what i remember is that i was maybe a little bit unsatisfied with ending but i won't take too much credit off right now for that since i would need to analyze it anew. i'll right now stick to the old grade B/B+

it was an ok episode for me, the story is entertaining, but in the end nothing special of really funny stands out from this one.

I liked it. The Marge and Bart dynamic worked well.

But this is the first episode to me that feels bland.

    So C+

An episode that, to me, is the definition of what is wrong with the post-classic era.

Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

    See Homer Run

Haven't seen this in while. J. Loren Pryor sounds completely different than he did in previous episodes. Was that intentional? B-

Another decent one. Last of the S16 holdovers. Tomlin does a great job. First (last?) time Lisa kisses Milhouse. B-

Good episode. The main plot is solid fun with great laughs and a nice ending. The subplot felt like it should have been a main plot because while it's funny, the ending was abrupt. Overall: B+

Good episode. B+. Subplot was likeable but shouldn't have been the main plot, like Trab said, imo.

Solid and enjoyable, probably the best Marge episode since Sweets And Sour Marge. The plotline is well-developed, and it's maybe the first time that her typical "I'm bored/I have no social life" dilemma didn't feel forced in a while. The Cheery Red Tomatoes group provided some great scenes, and I could see why Marge felt integrated there.
In addition, the episode had one of the funniest post-classic Homers that I remember, making some of the best gags as the scene at the supermarket or when he is meant to avoid Marge committing a crime and being discovered and ends up being followed by the police because of his bad driving.
The subplot was good, nothing really memorable but I found it pretty funny.

It's not a perfect episode (the Nelson gag or the twin language thing were awful), but there was something in its structure that I found refreshing. It was dangerously heading for a new marriage crisis, but it finished with a weird, though adorable (one of my guilty pleasures) plot change with the group's plans to steal the Fabergé eggs, Marge deciding to take part in it and Homer noticing it and running to "save" her wife. The idea as a whole is something that the writers don't usually seem to dare to do in these late seasons, but it could help to explore new ideas. This storyline, slightly reminiscent of Marge On The Lam, is a piece of originality in a rather repetitive season. 9/10

    The Italian Bob

Eh. About average for a post-classic Sideshow Bob episode. Has its ups and downs. That "vendetta" stuff isn't funny. Grammer won an Emmy for his performance. B-

I hate it, worst of the season and easily bottom 20 of the series. There are so many things that I find wrong with it:
-The absolutely disjointed plot where the Simpsons go to Italy for a dumb reason, find Bob by sheer chance as a mayor of an Italian village and end up being pursued by him and his family when drunk Lisa discovers his criminal past, being finally saved by Krusty, who was there for a play. That has to be a joke, I mean, not only the premise for the travel vacation was lame as always, the plotline at all was terribly forced: Bob being the mayor of that specific place, him keeping dressed his old prisoner uniform, the family being easily convinced to help Bob in his attempt to murder the Simpsons, Krusty in Italy... It was too much.
-The jokes, and I can hardly understand how somebody could find them even mildly funny, with the bologna or "Vendetta!!" (and other Italian stereotypes) stuff and lots of awful one-liners like Homer's dictionary definitions. I only liked some visual gags and the "Plagiarism" thing.
-The characterizations. I think this is the first episode where I have felt uncomfortable at all with the portrayal of Bob. He used to be a cold, kinda polished and sadist guy who enjoyed making elaborate plans; here he is just a crazy and noisy maniac. And the rest of the characters were overly stupid.

    So yes, great episode. 4/10
