I'm creating Rate and Review threads for Futurama episodes, so anybody can vote for an episode.
I love this episode, put I pefer "Hell Is Other Robots" over this. Still, this episode is legendary, with hilarious scenes, a memorable parody, and it also hasn't got many flaws. A+.

great episode from season 1.
Especially Fry is pretty funny because he's so addicted to Slurm.
Also the end of the story is funny.

5/5, a funny episode with a good resolution. BTW, I would TOTALLY drink Slurm if it were real, even though i know the secret. It looks good! I'd just forget the secret about what it is every time I opened a can

Excellent.. In fact, this might have been the first episode I watched where I really fell in love with the show. So many great laughs..

Around this time, "Family Guy" did their own Willy Wonka parody in "Wasted Talent". That parody sucked for the simple reason that they just copied almost everything from that movie (the music, the appearance of the factory, and using an entire scene with the only replacement being farts instead of burps to avoid hitting that giant ceiling fan). Of course, I'm a full-fledged "Family Guy" hater, but my point is "Futurama" did a better parody by only using the basis of the Chocolate Factory and even threw in a "Soylent Green" moment.
I really loved the joke about how Slurm is made, and even though he saw it, Fry still wants to drink the stuff.

Nerdy observation though, if Fry got his 'male cells' damaged by that laser, then Zoidberg shouldn't have been able to ride one in Parasites Lost since he was infertile.

This one is, in fact, the first episode that comes to my mind when talking about Futurama, and one of the most hilarious and memorable for sure. One of the things that makes me feel more pleased is that tone of carefree adventure where I can relate to every character in such a plain and surprisingly effective way. I saw this episode quite recently, not so great in my opinion. Too much slurm: 3/5
Season 1 is the only season I've seen by the way, is Season 2 any good? It's not yet available in Dutch stores, but I'm planning to buy it when released.

It has in my opinion some of the funniest episodes in the series (Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love?, A Clone Of My Own, Anthology Of Interest I, How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back, War Is The H Word...), and I think you could enjoy the season at all largely except for one or two episodes. Okay, I certainly will buy it then. Season one was overall great, except for a few mediocre episodes. The first episodes like "I, Roommate" were the best in my opinion.
Hope Season 2 will be released fast then
