I'm waiting a few more weeks before i make up my mind, if the artworks are staying what they are now, i might actually get this headbox since it seems to fit in with the rest of the standard boxes... Funny, i avoided it, now i have no choice!![]()

Hipness is not a state of mind, It's a fact of life!
Haha, I'm thinking the same thing you are! If Season 11's standard box art is the "Homer 11" crap, and Season 12 is a "Marge 12", etc. through Season 15, I'll find myself buying the limited edition packaging for the next 5 years or so! The Krusty "head" is actually a box with a spine that matches the Seasons 6-10 boxes! I like how Sideshow Mel and Sideshow Bob match with Krusty.

They definitly made the Krusty head look like the regular 6-10 seasons. I know it's a bit to early to start speculating but if this pattern continues they could use a moe head for season 12 or something like that.
I can imagine how butt-ugly a Moe head would be! LOL To all the Fox DVD designers reading this thread, please use this image (the one on the right):

UP AND ATOM!
I dont get all the hate on KTAAR. It had Kid Rock w/ Joe C (R.I.P.) and Dedrich Badder, who even shows up for the commentary. I think it would be great if the 'male' listed was Kid Rock. All three are good guest appearances & they were funny. I will be buying this. Plus one of my favorite lines is in another hated episode from this season. I am not, not licking toads.

There's a funny thing about episode to me it was the simpsons episode I ever saw. Not really good compared to other episodes, but it has some meaning to me because even though I didn't know the crapiness of the episode it inspired me to watch the simpsons and I've been a fan ever since.
not sure if its been mentioned, but its not in the first post.
Aussie release date is 5 November

If they do, it's to cover up the crappiness of the episode. Instead of focusing on the episode, they'll be talking with the guest stars about their Simpsons "experience" and joke around. Of course, never getting around to discussing the details found on the "fun sheet". Anything to avoid talking on the episode. Remember the fiasco with "Monty Can't Buy Me Love", when literally they started bashing the episode? Imagine that times a thousand. So no shit there'll be guest commentators.
That being said, I can't wait for Matt Groening's usual segment. "This is the classic season where...um, Bart gets a horse? No, that was a terrible episode...oh, I know! Homer bowls a perfect game...and bonds with Maggie for some reason...err...oh, wait, there's that episode, where they go to Florida--oh, no, not that one...fuck it, this is a horrible season. Do I even need to do these anymore?"...
no he will say this season is the best so far it has my FAVOURITE episode the one where they go to florida and kill the alligator.![]()
"Look, Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And i'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! Because when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo, that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge. It's Chinatown!" - Homer's rant.
Coming from the guy that thinks every new season was better than the last, I doubt it. Especially considering how much he appeared to love Season 10.That being said, I can't wait for Matt Groening's usual segment. "This is the classic season where...um, Bart gets a horse? I'm especially looking forward to every commentary, either to hear great episode's praises or to hear what the crew REALLY thinks about the awful four mentioned above.

I'm glad Mike Scully will be in the commentaries. I like the sound of of his voice for some reason.
Heh. I feel the opposite, I find his voice seriously annoying.
I wonder why Groening is only doing one commentary this time, too embarrassed by Season 11? :P

Nah, I don't think so. He's only doing the commentary for the worst episode because he's embarassed? Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

I think Scully said around the time S11 was airing that Groening was spening 95% of his time doing Futurama and a very small amount of time with OFF, so the one episode commentary might not be that unusual.
Besides, IMO, S11 is so unfunny the Joker wouldn't even laugh at it.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

It's understandable that Matt Groening is only doing the one commentary if he wasn't as heavily involved in the production during Season 11 but all the same it's a shame as I'd be interested to hear his commentary and response to the episodes as it relates to his vision for the series as its creator.
"How could this have happened?
We started out like Romeo & Juliet but it ended up in tragedy..."
- Milhouse Van Houten
I think I might end up passing on this one. Clearly not as funny as previous seasons (and my all round least favourite season), not as many special features and I just don't see my self watching these episodes regularly at all, so I'll end up not buying this, even to add to the collection. I won't need it. Nice box though.

I really like the Obama/McCain idea, I'm wondering if it will be as good as the 1996 Simpsons-indecision-coverage-THOH-segment.
Oh and btw, vote Obama if you're old enough...

What do the last two posts have to do with the Season 11 DVD?

i think 39 more days!

What 39 more days for the US?

yes

Ok good a somewhat shortish wait.
