I heard the original masters of these episodes were destroyed in the March fire of this year. only copies from your local syndication affiliates exist and it will be too much for too low of quality to reproduce on dvd. furthermore, the copies the syndication affiliates have are edited, so some scenes are lost forever. they apparently are working on season 12 now and skipping 11. it will be the lost season.
Heckling a Puppet show.
How cares what quality they are. As long as you can hear and see it it's alright.

Original copies gone forever? Nah..That can't be true. I imagine Matt G probably has copies in his basement if anything. Along with many others.
"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."

I just Googled "March fire 2008" and no results. And there's no way the original versions of these episodes no longer exist. I'm sure the staff at SNPP.com still have the original Fox airings of Season 11. (Of course, they'll have the annoying Fox logo in the corner...)
An interesting fact: every website that has Simpsons episodes available for viewing pleasure have the syndicated copies of seasons 11-12. Half of season 13 is synd. versions (with "voiceless intros"), and the other half is Fox network airings (some of them Fox repeats).
The online versions of seasons 14 and on are the first Fox airings, and from Season 18 on the online versions don't have the Fox logo in the corner.
Also, every episode of seasons 11-12 (except Treehouses of Horrors) have the full opening, but they're all cut in syndication. So the next three DVD releases will make all syndication cuts available to viewers (via DVD set or online viewing)
Of course, the DVD releases have audio commentaries and deleted scenes, and are of better visual quality.
I can't believe that any of you believed the thing about the fire. Come on guys!
That definitely brought me some lol's. It shouldn't be that easy to fuck with people.Originally Posted by SouthernHero

Some of you guys are absolute morons. Honestly.
That's a shame.
Worst. Signature. Ever.
Anyone that did research into that, let alone fell for it, are idiots.

Dude...Take My Wife, Sleaze deserves an F just as much as Kill The Alligator and Run. It's another perfect example of how Scully made it "The Homer Show"; not to mention the stupid plot, unrealistic scenarios (motorbike fighting, really, what the hell?) and downright horrid animation (so many off model moments, this isn't season one folks). The only slightly humorous thing I found is "This Month's Cycle Slut"...but that is in pretty bad taste for The Simpsons, so it doesn't raise my grade in any way.
ok ok, ill admit i hvent seen it in about 5 years but i still remeber it being hilarious
Mabey as a suprise the people at The Simpsons (by that I meen writers animators voice actors) are working on a bumper pack not only will their be seasons 1-11 their will be seasons 12-21 and yes I did say season 21 because it would probably take them until 2010 to complete.
P.S
I am not trying to start a rumour.
Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!
Yawnz...it feels like I've seen these exact comments thousands of times on these forums, right down to the retarded sense of rage toward the episode that you'll almost never find toward any god-awful Jean episode. Take My Wife isn't all that bad. It's kind of bad, but there are some laughs in there. It's a Swartzwelder episode after all. How about when Homer walks back into the bar for the third or fourth time and says "some people never learn". Or Marge teaching the guys manners. It's at least a D+.It's another perfect example of how Scully made it "The Homer Show"; not to mention the stupid plot, unrealistic scenarios (motorbike fighting, really, what the hell?) and downright horrid animation (so many off model moments, this isn't season one folks).
Edit: And once again, I'll have to remind you that there was a 15 foot tall spider in Duffless, so stop with the negativity to unrealistic moments.
Ivan is just one of those "I love/hate this episode because everybody else says it" guys.Originally Posted by Green_Peaness

Ahahaha. No. I've despised Take My Wife, Sleaze ever since I first saw it. In fact, that and Kill The Alligator and Run are the only episodes I don't really want to see again in Season 11 (yeah, I didn't find Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge all that bad). People have their own opinions, and it just happens that I don't like an episode that someone else doesn't like as well. So get your facts right before you make yourself look any more like a tool.Originally Posted by ThaSimpsonz
And your saying I love/hate episodes because everyone else says it? Right...that's just why The President Wore Pearls was once my favourite all-time episode. And the Marge vs. Everyone episode was once in my top ten. I don't think anyone else here, or at least not many people, would do that, so how can you say I pretty much copy people? You're really coming off as an idiot.
My god. N00bs I tell ya...
And I'm not very fond of that scene either, it all comes down to personal preference.Edit: And once again, I'll have to remind you that there was a 15 foot tall spider in Duffless, so stop with the negativity to unrealistic moments.
I like the majority of the Scully era, anyway. Yeah, Season 10 was once my least favourite season, but Jean HAS put out a lot of worse stuff (basically all of 17). It's just a few episodes from Seasons 10 and 11 that I kind of hate, the rest I can watch though (in fact, 9 and 12 are among my favourite seasons). So don't try and make it look as if I'm a Scully basher; there's only a few episodes that I would "bash".
Now it's been a whole year since the last season DVD was announced...Originally Posted by Ramier Wolfcastle

I guess I reacted badly because there's nothing I'm more tired of than "Scully bashers"...it's not only simple-minded, but it's always the same thing over and over, like a circle jerk but for hating something instead of liking it.Originally Posted by Ivan

It's really starting to bug me since the last DVD release. Does anyone really know when Season 11 is coming to DVD?

It's been over a year since season 10's announcement now, it should probably be announced by the end of next week. If it isn't that'll just be ridiculous.
