Why no one ban him? He just do everything he can to be stupid and boring, you really want to talk for months and months and months and months and months with him?

Prout !!
I'm am not stupid are boring are an idiot you are the one that's boring and the one who needs to be ban is ivan he's still not picture perfect i did report him to the moderator for telling me to shut up over and over again, and i didn't break any rules anyways. we should get back on topic.
let's never speak of this again
I think there's a LOT of overreacting on this board, and other Simpsons-related ones in general, but also in regards to this particular topic. I bet the people who work on "The Simpsons" never intended this gigantic world of shadow malcontents to miss the surrealist bent and, gosh, CARTOONISH landscape of the show and criticize its every frame. You people act like there's no heart in any of the shows. A bogus implication if I ever saw one.
I myself was proud to plunk down my hard-earned cash to purchase this season, which is one of my favorite seasons. Yes, that's right, all you die-hard ep-graders! You might ask why I love season 11 so much, if KKK grand wizard Mike Scully was manning the ship! Well I'll tell you why! BECAUSE I LOVE EVERY SEASON.
I am 25 years old right now. Maybe that has something to do with it, I have no idea, nor should I ever. What I am certain of is that "The Simpsons" has grown with me over the years. From sneaking the Christmas special in 2nd grade when my mom was doing laundry (I was raised Catholic) all up until last week's rerun of Bart swapping places with his wealthy lookalike, I have seen almost every episode there is to see (I'm sure I must have missed some, but that's what DVDs/WTSO are for, right?) And season 11 aired when I was an upperclassmen in high school, and all of my friends still talked about the episodes. It's hard to believe these aired eight or nine years ago. I can remember thinking how stupid it was that my buddy made the AIM screen name Americas Wang. Now that joke is immortalized on a DVD.
I have never, NOT ONCE, seen an episode of this show at which I didn't laugh out loud at least a dozen times. You should all be thankful that the show and characters and situations have grown and grown over twenty god-damned years! It's a lighthearted show! For god's sake, the lot of you Jeff Albertsons need to just take a little troll-y walk outside, use those hands and brains for something else, and step back from your middling anger.
That said, to steer this back on topic, I find the packaging for this particular set absolutely amazing. My DVDs are secure (seriously, you have to have limited capability with your digits if you are getting scratches on these discs - perhaps too many awful years prattling on in messageboards and wacking it? Who knows..) in the comfy cardboard, a marked improvement in the old plastic easily-cracked clackers where the DVDs would fall out and get scratched more often than I anticipate these will, and the foldout carnival mural is absolutely beautiful and it feels more like a real thing and a gift. Whoever designed this box should be praised. It puts other DVD sets to shame. Plus, you get Homer's eyes crusting over, Bart teaching Homer how to ride a bike, security guard Gary Coleman, a fat Mr. Burns, Barney's swan song, and my favorite, Bart and Milhouse living it up in an empty mall. Not to mention "my pockets hurt".
It's all here, because it was always here and will always be here. At this point, however much you try to rail against the show.. As the years go on and it's still on the air, the more you complain about it, it's really like you're complaining about the existence of "60 Minutes", or baseball, or apple pie. "The Simpsons" is an American institution, one of the only ones of my generation that is still kicking like clockwork. Show some respect, or make a better show!
You're 25 and yet you stoop so low as to try and label every member here as being a stereotypical "nerd"?
About the packaging, I totally disagree. I have had NO bad experience with the old plastic disc holders and have not had them scratch any of the discs in my previous sets. I don't know if the packaging is slightly different between regions for Season 11, but I have the Region 4 Australian version, and getting the discs out for the first time was honestly terrible, the cardboard pockets were so tight around the discs that it was impossible to get them out without some sort of damage being inflicted (and I know it wasn't just a one-off, it's the same with both copies I've owned [the first went back because Disc 1 had glue on it and hence wouldn't play]).
And before you crack some craptacular fat joke saying it's my own fault the discs wouldn't come out, I'm underweight and have no problems concerning "fat fingers". The packaging, at least in the copies I've had, are terrible.
You can like it all you want, but so far there's only you and another poster a couple pages back that have commended it for the way the discs are held (I only like it because it's restored the awesome fold-out artwork that we saw in the first five DVD sets). No one has to like it just because YOU say it's good, and no amount of insults, despite the fact their so stereotypical and incorrect, is going to change that. Just accept that people have differing opinions.
You're the troll, if anything.

Oh man, this thread is the new NHC fight arena!
Well however, this is the second time I am on Ivan's side, people do have different opinions and that is good that way. Not every boarder is a nerd and I don't think I should be criticised just because I don't love every single aspect of the show. Season 11 is a pretty awful season compared to the other seasons, but it's still ok in general.
The package art is absolutely great, we agree on that point, but the set isn't very handy and it's not impossible to scratch the discs. Oh, by the way, my set is from Region 2 (or 3, I bought it in Europe).
Ok, I think I made my points. Back to you, Crusser.
I don't hate Season 11 as much as people here do, but I got adimit that it's not all that good. Still some letdowns and and I certainly don't love every season like you.
Unfortunately I've watched some episodes in wich I couldn't laugh much, maybe because the story was stupid, or the jokes were not working for me... And the characters have not grown since season 6 I think.
I got a different packaging so I can't say for sure but It looked bad from the pictures I saw. Also I'm not a careful guy and most of my Simpson discs have some scrates (but work perfectly) and we wait over a year for Season 11 to come out. They really should've been more careful with the design. And I agree with you that there are some pretty great moments on Season 11 but the quality of the episodes is another topic and shouldn't be comented here.
The Simpsons use to be the best show on TV but not anymore. The quality of the episodes has really fall apart. Luckily they still great compared to everything else on TV. But thats just what I think![]()
You call everyone else nerds and then call us "Jeff Albertsons", if we're such nerds then how the fuck do you, a 25 year old man, know who jeff albertson is. hycrocrite.![]()

This has to be the most self indulgant, egotistical thing I've read in years. If you're trolling, good job. If you're not...wow. No one has to like anything, get over yourself.
And also if someone hates this season too, it's fine to express it but no one needs constant pestering over it. Guys, people like stuff...and people hate stuff. It's called being a human being. Let it go.
Stop this nonsense.

How long until this thread...dies?
"Look, Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And i'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! Because when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo, that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge. It's Chinatown!" - Homer's rant.
Very soon if this continues. Even if I don't mod this forum I'll see to that.
Anybody notice how we meet all the jackasses on this particular thread?
Can someone explain why I am a jackass?
Is it because I am perplexed and offended by the overwhelming amount of negative criticism of one of the most continually entertaining programs out there?
I'm sorry it couldn't be a unanimous vote of derision for the accordion packaging. I'm sorry there are people out there like me who don't get their undies in a twist when makers of a product try something new.
If it's because of these things, I will accept this title proudly. King Jackass I am and forever shall be. But it sounds like you guys are the ones that really can't deal with people just being cool with the show existing. You wear your favorite eras like badges, and let me tell you, those badges are ugly!
Let me ask you something - those of you who think the show careened off at a particular juncture, whether it be seas. 6 or 10 or whichever - would you really be happy if the show simply ended at these points? ENLIGHTEN ME
I Personally don't want the simpsons to end, post-classic era simpsons is better then no simpsons imho
If you weren't a jackass, you wouldn't be flamebaiting. There's a difference between telling people your opinion, and stuffing it down their throats. I don't think people should be anal about criticism either, and there's a lot of drama queens who whine about everything with this series. But if there's anything that pisses me off even more than that it's holier than thou attitudes over something as menial as a television show, which is by the way...text book characterization for Comic Book Guy.
Anyways you're basically trolling whether you think so or not. Good bye.

Everybody needs to calm down. look i did get a little carried away by bashing season 11 it might be a awful season but it is still good to watch and to buy on dvd, every season is not picture perfect they also have there share of bad episodes.the simpsons are one of the best tv shows ever compare to the crap that is on tv nowdays.

I was thinking about a BUMP, but I think with Crusser's death we can all live in peace now...![]()
Season 11 may not have been the greatest but many of the episodes still had heart, were well done and were most importantly enjoyable. "Alone again, Natura-diddly", as sad as it was to kill Maude off, years later when I look back upon it, it feels like a sad but perfectly good move to pull off not without it's risks as life won't always be perfect, even in the world of cartoons and it was a well done episode at that (hell, look at the death of Optimus Prime and how well that was pulled off, despite the sadness it brought so many children back in the 80's but many people still prefer the '86 version even with such a death over the new 2007 Transformers). I mean, she would have stayed alive had Maggie Roswell had been around more and also had it not been for the contract dispute but things are meant to happen for a reason. And also, sometimes characters need a little change to their personality or design as exhibited in Barney going sober for a brief time. Although there were god awful episodes like "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Marge" and "Last Tap Dance in Springfield", there were favourites of mine such as "Grift of the Magi" and "Bart to the Future" (I don't care if they claim this to be the worst episode of the series, I found it to be enjoyable).
It may not be perfect, but season 11 is still worth watching.

- Brad Lascelle, even if I don't agree on a post like mine in which I did not watch a new episode of OFF and still give it a negative rating should result in banningThe reality is that both your post and his should be bannable offenses. Pure ignorance about the show's current-day content is just as offensive as wearing blinders to mediocrity and openly praising everything.
Everything he said is true. season 11 is still worth buying and there are a lot of good episodes of this season and a few bad ones but overall this is a great season.
