Not yet, I'm watching all the eps through without commentary first, and will then watch them with it on and then watch all the special features. I'm doing a marathon (can you tell?)

. I've had about 9hours of sleep since it arrived (yes I've been sleeping during the day) and I've nearly finished disc 4 without commentaries

. Just think I will have watched everything on all 4 DVDs by the time some people are just getting them

.

Oh and I'll have a look for easter eggs too

Found some Easter Eggs on disc 4, too easy.
Didn't they say it'd have a featurette on the Simpsons Ride on this set too? I can't find it.

I think it was mentioned that the US version would have a special insert (A Simpsons Ride VIP pass), I didn't hear anything about a featurette. Although I'd love for the Season 19 DVD to contain all animated segments and ride through footage. Heres hoping.

That's not funny. We can't help when we get them (if we pre-ordered them, like I did). I got a message on Wednesday saying it would be 2-5 days. I'm hoping it will come tomorrow, and IMO, Series 11 isn't as bad as most people think. BTL is one of my favourite episodes of all time! Pygmoelian, AAND, IAMMMM, and BTTF are also good ones as well. I get the head boxes, and I actually prefer it when they take up more space, as when I take down my single DVDs, it makes everything look neater if the new box set is quite wide. At least on my shelf it does.

Amazon.co.uk is annoying - the DVD is released tomorrow, but even with First Class delivery it's expected 8-9 Oct! A couple of years ago, I'd always get stuff on the day that it was released.

Anyhoo, the stuff from inside the DVD looks pretty neat as usual, they seem to make more of an effort with that than the outside. Lots of bit to read and so on. Cheers for posting that, Bento - how did you get hold of the DVD so early? Are you with the media?

Nah, I ordered mine from Play.com and they posted it on Wednesday, they post it ahead of the release date to make sure it arrives on time, but it always arrives early for me

Season 11 is out in Region 2 already? BEFORE Region 1? Weird...

At least now we know that we can choose either the regular box or the limited edition head. I unfortunately won't be able to get to a place like Best Buy or Target until about 2 weeks from now -- by then, the price will be jacked up from $30 to about $40...hopefully Amazon will still sell it at $30 with the regular packaging.

Thanks for the pictures, Bento! The boxset looks good alongside the others!

I think it would look better if the Standard Box cover had more details, like the 6-10 boxes. Like having the Krusty Show crew in the background or something, in stead of just Krusty.

"Pygmoelian" has to be my personal favorite of the season. It reminds me a lot of the Futurama episode "Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television".
"Behind the Laughter" is my second favorite of the season, coming just behind "Spinoff Showcase" and "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular" as my favorite non-Halloween special.

I picked up the set today. It was £28 in Zavvi, I was quite impressed by that. It made the pain of paying for this season slightly more bearable...

Not really, Season 1 came out way before America, and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only season to come out here first. Also all 4 Futurama seasons came out here way before America. Didn't The Simpsons Movie come out here before America too? And the next Futurama Movie Bender's Game comes out here just before America as well...

I'm picking it up tomorrow, at Target most likely. Their $29.99 is the lowest I've seen.

Whoever gets the Krusty head first, can I request an answer as to whether the standard box is beneath it complete with Krusity in a tux? Basically I want to know if the Kristy head is removable.

Well, I'll be getting a nice "thank you" from my local pawn shop when I buy this turd of a season for less than 12 dollars in a couple of weeks (just like S10 and S9).

I just caved in & ordered the Head version on amazon, because I'm thinking that the head version is just the regular box with an insert over top. at least i hope....otherwise, fox can go screw themselves for fooling everyone. It's 5 dollars cheaper too, so, as long as it's a sleeve that can be removed to reveal the normal box, i'll be happy.

Btw the cardboard disc holders are rather awkward to say the least. It was very hard removing them for the first time without getting fingerprints all over them and scatching them. I hope this gets easier in time as the cardboard pockets wear in, but still you have to be a lot more careful to preserve your disks...

I highly doubt that the Head Box is just a casing over the standard box. I mean, why would it be 5 dollars cheaper to just buy the exact same thing with an extra plastic Krusty head over the top?
