I'm probably going to do the same thing. I'll watch the episodes normally (I haven't seen them in a long while), then force the painful scenes out of my head, then turn on the commentary track for each episode.

Hopefully it will, although ( I'll probably get annoyed replies for this but it must be said) I really didn't know season 11 was that bad when I first saw it, I thought it was just ok (Note season 11 was like the first season I saw so I didn't know simpsons quality).

It's not even close to being the worst season for me. Season 17-19 are so much worse, it's ridiculous.

A little late, but I've only just seen it. That new cover art looks good, much better than the Homer 11 one, but it's still a bit bland. There's nothing going on in the background, just some flashing lights and there's also no cutout. I'll get this one if it is the actual art, but I hope it isn't. Still, each artwork we see is better than the last one, so hopefully by the time it's officially confirmed we'll have something brilliant.

As I said/posted it was the first season I saw so it's sort-of memorable to me.

the only sole reason i'll be buying this dvd is for collection purposes only. I don't even know if I'll watch ALL the episodes by themselves. Since i've seen every episode the commentaries are really the only thing that matters

I hope they will eventually ( if not on this Dvd) put the cut-scenes from the simpsons game into episode form (like they did on Futurama BwaBB). It probably won't happen on season 11 though because the release is in a month or so.

Yeah. And the Simpsons cut-scenes look just like the show too. I honestly can't really sit through the Futurama game "episode". I just ask myself why I'm not watching the actual show.

Hmm, I'm not sure I agree that it's one of the better things on TV these days but either way I'm definitely getting every season. In my opinion they're all worth it, if only for commentary. Each season has at least 2 or 3 good episodes anyway.

I prefer The Office, 30 Rock, Robot Chicken and a few others to The Simpsons these days, unfortunately. I wish it was the other way around

if we're counting cable i prefer Metalocalypse, Venture Bros., South Park, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and ATHF to the simpsons now.....still, compared to 90% of the stuff on tv (reality show, cop show, melodrama, blah blah blah) the simpsons is still more entertaining, at least imo
