Those individual DVD's were a complete rip off anyway. When they were first released they were around $25, when for a few extra dollars you could get a whole Season.

I'd rather just wait for the complte season releases.
I'll get mad when technology allows them to re-release seasons in a single disc.
That will never happen with DVD.
What you're thinking of is called 'bluray', my friend. [/sarcasm]

One disc? For a season? That would be quite dissapointing.
I dunno if they'll ever do it, even though they technically can as "1 disc box set" doesn't sound as good as "4 disc box set" even if they have the exact same features
So they could compromise and make it a 2 disc box set. But having everything on one disc does take away from the art and some of the theme, but it is much more convenient.
I agree, it would definitely be more convenient and I would prefer it that way. I just don't think they'll ever do that. Even with 2 discs some people would be like "omfg it must be only half as good". Some people are really stupid.
They would have to do that after they released every season how they are currently doing it. That way its more of a collection.
It would be nice if they release seasons on one disc. The only downside would be having a menu with 22 episodes and having to scroll down them to get to the episode you want...
Lightspeed Briefs, as seen in your dreams.

Menu navigating is incredibly fast on Blu-ray though so that should be no problem; it could also be divided into sub-menus to represent "discs".
I love the menu-animation and the connections to the storys on the disc. Would be a bit disappointing with only 1 disc...
^yeah I agree, it minimises the opportunity for artwork. Sometimes more is actually more.

If only people weren't too lazy to even go one page back in the thread...
I'm still hoping that's not the standard boxart. I mean the Krusty head is probably what I'll be getting but still that Homer 11 thing is absolute crap.
im hoping the same thing..
Agreed. After them doing so much to keep the first 10 seasons looking similar, they've just completely screwed us over.
Having said that, I'm getting the Krusty head, so I'm not that bothered. I just like seeing "The Complete _______ Season" on the front of each box.
One of the few who still enjoys new episodes of The Simpsons.
so has fox or whoever said that the homer 11 box is for real?
"Look, Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And i'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! Because when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo, that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge. It's Chinatown!" - Homer's rant.
nobody has said it is real. i do not think it is a fake. i think what we're going to see is a jumbled mess of packaging, with the homer one being exclusive to region 4.
here's the region 2 art, thanks to www.simpsonspark.com
