Sorry for my skepticism, but I don't think that's official. It doesn't make sense that there would be a Krusty head box, and then a Homer standard box. All of the other "Head" boxes featured the same character

I think the box art's pretty good.I kind of like the simplicity of it.Slightly disappointed that they're going back to the family members again instead of concentrating on secondary characters like I'd hoped, but on the whole I like it.Not too bothered about the spines not matching either, really.

It actually looks kinda good, but I don't really like that it doesn't have two character heads on the spine as all the earlier sets had.

I really hope that isnt the finished box art. It's not a bad idea, but doesn't fit with the previous boxes. Too simple of a look with character stock art and an American flag pattern (???). Plus what is that pattern at the top of the box?

Yeah it is. Uninspired = bland...that's what the show was becoming in season 11. It's pretty unmemorable other than Maude dying and Behind the Laughter. Not shitty yet imo.

Yeah it is. Uninspired = bland...that's what the show was becoming in season 11. It's pretty unmemorable other than Maude dying and Behind the Laughter. Not shitty yet imo.

Part of what made Season 11 a little hard to bear was it's excesses. It's over-the-top in so many ways. After 10 years the creators continued to push boundaries, exploring new territories and that resulted in destroying many things the fans had come to expect, including characterisations.

Maybe my definition of bland is different to yours, but that's all I meant.

I agree with (compu)globalhypermeganet here, season 11 has many weak points, but blandness is certainly not one of them.

Anyway, I really like the new box. I'll probabably get the standard boxes over the heads this time....

I kinda like it, simple, yet effective. That said, it is very bland and I would have much prefered something else, more in line with the seasons 6-10 boxes. Other than that my main problem with it is that the spines won't line up. I want those two little heads on the side dammit!

I think that looks like Bart's hair, but it still doesnt make any sense, seeing as this would make the theme Homer/Krusty/Bart.

Yeah, same. Looks like it fits in with the other standard editions, except for the what looks like raised bits on Krusty's head.

If all of the standard boxes had looked like this one, it would have been awesome. The head boxes look pretty, but are a pain in the arse from a practical point of view. The standard boxes are practical, but don't look that great.

If they all looked like this, I'd probably have them face out on the shelf.
