Stranger in this town
^That's a good point. And here was I thinking it would be some sort of fairground. Looks like the 'Springfield locations' idea maybe very well be true.
And hey, how long was it between the BBFC ratings and the official announcement? It can't be long now.
One of the few who still enjoys new episodes of The Simpsons.

either that, or Android's Dungeon, which would suit the more cartoony feel of the season

That's taken from a promo card, as big a cheapskate as Fox is, they would give us all-new artwork for the DVD sets. In short, it's a fake.

It's pretty obvious to tell that's a fake by looking at the bad photoshopping around maggie and homer's legs.

laughing time is ovah!
The Swedish release date will be October 29th according to some reliable Swedish web shops. I'm guessing it will likely be released in August or September in the US as we usually get it 1-2 months after them.

Tougher! Rougher! Badder!
That's not who'll be in the commentaries, look on the BBFC website, it's just who directed the episode and a selection of the actors. All it's announced is that there will indeed be commentaries for those episodes, which kind of goes without saying really.

Up an atom.
I'm assuming these are people unique to these audio commentaries. I'm gonna assume Matt Groening, Mike Scully, and the episode's writer (unless it's John Swartzwelder) will be in each episode's audio commentary as well.
At least we know this: the audio commentaries have been recorded, extra features have been determined, and the boxset WILL be released! Now WHEN????? It's been 10 months since the last release.

Those are not who's going to appear on the comentaries, here's the page for the Treehouse Of Horror X commentary, http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classi...D?OpenDocument, note how the only names listed on the page are, "directed by: Pete Michaels" (the director of the episode) and "the cast for this work includes: Dan Castellaneta (voice), Julie Kainer (voice), Nancy Cartwright (voice).", who all, of course, were in the episode. No commentators names are listed.
And, just to make sure, here's the page for just the episode on it's own, http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classi...9?OpenDocument, which just lists the same names under the same credits.

Up an atom.
I've got a feeling this won't be released until September 2008 in the US, to coincide with the start of season 20. That way it'll be advertised on TV, and whoever buys the boxset will get a flyer with it advertising the 20th season of the show.

Bride of Cops
It seems Mr. Azaria has not many time for commantaries.
Mr. Shearer, not either.
Any deleted Cops-scenes?
P.S.: Season 12 is really much better!

Stranger in this town
To repeat what I Love Lisa has said, TWICE, that list is NOT the list of the commentaries. It's just a list of the actors and directors. Why do you think Matt Groening and Mike Scully aren't on there? And not one single writer? I find it hard to believe that they would leave the actors to do all the commentaries (especially when Julie Kavner never says anything interesting).
At least we know it's still out there somewhere. Not looking good for an August release though. We need SOME kind of a press release, and soon. Ah, remember the good old days when the season sets came out in June?

I Talk To The Wind
No wonder Mike Scully couldn't comment about his episodes since techically there is nothing to talk about other than he screwed up.
Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god. Oh man. Oh god.

This dvd better be good after waiting so long for another season dvd. The extras on the Simpsons are never that interesting except for the commentaries which make up for the extras I guess.

Holy crap people, freaking listen. They are not the list of people that will be on the commentary. Don't you think it's weird that all the ones revealed so far only have a director and voice cast? Obviously not a commentary list. Judging from Seasons 9 and 10, Mike Scully would be on most, if not all, episodes. Same with Matt Groening.

I wondered if there will be some guest stars in the commentaries like Jeff Goldblum (S7), Kelsey Grammer, John Waters, Alex Rocco (S8), Jay Leno (S9) or Mark Hamill (S10).
Does anyone have some insider information about that?

At this point it would only be speculation and rumor.
We should really just wait until an official announcement is made.
