It would make sense if it comes out in August to follow the pattern. They must have counted the movie as a Simpsons dvd last year.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it.
Everything happens for a reason.
Just be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
Don't worry about the world ending today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.
Obviously not the official word, but TV show on DVD is usually the first break the real news. I'd believe the rumors.
Notoriety for whatever reason, never seems to benefit the noted, only the 'notees'
I Think we will see the Press Release on MAY 5th for Aug 12th Release
that would mean the season will only be aviable in spetember for us (belgium),that is so late!!!!!!!!!.
My god, are people still complaining about late international DVD releases? Get a multi-region player for god's sake, I don't know about Belgium but here you can get them for less than £20, there's really no reason not to get one. I don't see why you'd be so desperate to get this particular season, however.
i just want every season and on the american dvd's there's no dutch subtitles, and sometimes i need them.and if i buy them in america i can only play them on a multi-region dvd player, which means i can't take it with me when i go to some friends.and i think i have the right to complain,i am a consumer after all.
My God, some people want their DVDs to be PAL, for god´s sake, there´s no reason to go all ape about it.
Anyway, FOX benelux still says we´re getting the DVDs in june, but we´ll just have to wait and see
that would be so funny, who would be complaining then?![]()
Us getting something earlier, that would be a first. ;-/
Hipness is not a state of mind, It's a fact of life!
Actually, we had season 2 before the rest of the world did. It was:
mid-june: benelux
late-june: france
july: europe
august: USA
realy which seasons did we have before, this doesn't sound logical.
Well Europe got the Futurama seasons first.
I like that idea a lot, except I think maybe they should replace Krusty Burger with something like the channel 6 studio instead.Originally Posted by jonny1993
If they were smart, they'd have a sticker on the shrinkwrapped packaging highlighting famous or popular episodes. Has anything been done like that for past box sets (I remember something with season 9 and the movie).
For example:
Season 11, Featuring: Behind the Laughter and Long Lost Interview with Sam Simon
Nothing like that's been done as far as I can recall.

Well, the fans of the earlier stuff can hold out for a few months after the initial release and buy the seasons used from amazon or a local used DVD / Pawn Shop for cheap. I picked up S9 for 12 bucks and S10, which I vowed never to buy, for 11 dollars. Both seasons were in mint condition.Originally Posted by Xt'Tapalatakettle
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
I was referring to someone who has a passing pleasure in the show. You, obviously, do not if you're posting here. :silly: I think a lot of people judge a season based on whether or not it has a few episodes they like rather than the total quality of the season. But who knows.

Personally, I'm not reluctant. I'm eager to rewatch many of these episodes, and I'm even more eager for the commentaries, especially for the one where Maude dies, as well as the season finale Behind the Laughter.
I hope Jim Reardon participates on more commentaries than before. I'm hoping his schedule has allowed it. The last 2 season sets have lacked his input as supervising director (not that Mark Kirkland and Mike B Anderson haven't done a superb job filling for him).
I'm open-minded about the package art, whatever it'll be. I just hope they maintain the interactive menu design perfected since season 5.
So, is this DVD gonna have a different design? Because the first five did and now that 6-10 are out now.
I expect the design is probably finished, or very nearly finished by now. They could be doing mock designs for the next 5 seasons like they did with seasons 6-10 back when Season 6 was announced...
Lightspeed Briefs, as seen in your dreams.

I agree, but they sure as hell are takin there time about it![]()
I know that it's nothing official but I'm glad to finally have some kind information about this set's release. If August is the actual date then I'm expecting a late september release in the UK, a full year after 10, damn that's a long wait. But at least I have an approximate time to wait for now.
As for box art, I like the idea of the places around Springfield, maybe this one would be based around the Simpsons house to start it off.
Something different for s11-s15 would be cool and logical. Maybe the a series of images that fit together on the spines. Or a flashback to Mad Fold-ins would be cool. Also like the around Springfield / House ideas...eh whats not to like?
You may remember me from such educational films as : 'Supercolliders and You - Stop, Drop and Evaporate' and 'So the Universe is about to Implode' and 'Dark Matter - It's Not Just For Nightmares Anymore'.
thank you for your support of my idea! i'm slowly regaining my dignity here after posting a badly phrased comment about family guy in the season 19 thread...
For christ's sake, just wank. Everyone wanks.
Your dad wanks. Your grandad wanks. The priests wank. I bet the pope has a good tug on his todger once in a while.
