They should have a set with S11 and the movie. Although both should also be available seperate.
Like you save $5 in a package bundle. I didnt care too much for the movie, but atleast want to hear the commentary.
"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."

I will buy this season just as I will buy every season, but out of all the seasons so far this will be the most painful to pluck the cash out for...

Oh it was Marcia Mitzman-Gaven doing the voice. Funny that they brought some one entirely new on to do Maggie Roswell voices yet they couldn't find some one out there who sounded more like her.

To be honest I wouldn't give a shit if they had a track for Marcia's Made, but I guess that would make completests happy. I've become aware since writing my above post that Maggie Roswell does pop up several time through out season 10, so it looks like my theory of hearing her redub the season 11 stuff will be unlikely. Still anything’s possible

i think the reason youre getting confused is because the three EP titles were shown together at the end of special episodes (such as BtL and the THOHs). im not sure exactly why they did this, but im guessing its because these particular episodes move along so fast that the numerous credits can be too distracting.
While I expect Mike Scully to be involved in every commentary for the season, I still expect a great deal of presence from both George Meyer and Al Jean. Ron Hauge and Ian Maxtone-Graham should pop up quite a bit as well, given their extensive presence in both seasons 9 and 10.

I wish Jim Reardon appeared more often though. Since his departure to Pixar, he's been noticeably absent, even though he's been a supervising director for these seasons.

Don't start an argument. Some people think it is better than season 10, some people think it's worse. There's no 'correct' answer that can be given, it's all just to do with opinions. I very well think that Season 11 is better than Season 10, but I'm not going to go and say NO IT ISN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to you, because you think that Season 10 is better.
Respect other people's opinions without acting like an idiot. Thanks.

Oh man ;-/ . Get off your fucking soapbox. His post sounds a little facetious to me anyway.

In other news, I'm excited about season 11 for some reason. I'm starting to become one of those "enjoy every episode on some level at least" people. There are about two or three episodes here I could do without completely, but otherwise I'll sit back and enjoy it instead of being overwhelmed by all the flaws.

I wasn't being a prick or anything, I was just trying to explain that while they're free to think that S10 is better than 11, there will always be others that think 11 is better than 10, no matter what they say.

According to the audio commentary for "Make Room For Lisa," Mike Scully mentioned the idea of the Season 11 box art having Homer using chloroform on someone. Although the chloroform wasn't introduced until Season 12.

I still think the box art should be the family at a cemetery, mourning the loss of Maude Flanders. Then Season 12 can have the chloroform art.

I'm assuming this is related to the episode It's a mad, mad, Marge.

I'm willing to defend it. Marge is a character who has to put up with a lot of Homer's BS. It would be very true to her character for her to break out in some form of rebellion.

David Mirkin once said Marge had the biggest potential to create a huge mess. He's not wrong, and that episode reflects it better than any other (much like season 3's Homer Alone did).

The challenge is to bring Marge to her murderous side and make it specially funny. That episode pulled it off well enough for it to become one of my favorite Mike Scully episodes.

  16. #76

Yes, I was referring to that episode. I never thought of Marge as one to completely lose it and try to kill someone. To me, that characterization is all wrong. That episode and Strong Arms of the Ma are some of the worst characterizations the show has ever seen.

For Marge to break out in some form of rebellion is fine - like taking a vacation in Homer Alone. But trying to kill someone? It's just not right.

Asking if Season 10 or Season 11 is 'better' is like asking what's better: Being hit with a line drive in the groin or being tasered.

are you kidding, i'd easily rather be tasered. it only hurts for a few seconds. a baseball to the groin going at who knows how many mph...that could cause testicular trauma.

Season 10 is much better. It's bad episodes are a lot better than S11's (no KTAAR or Bart to the Future or Take My Wife Sleaze caliber episodes in S10), and its good episodes (The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace, Lisa Gets an A, Mayored to the Mob) are better than anything in S11.

Just give her a William Shatner mask and a big, sharp knife and have her go all stabby on Springfield around Halloween. Even funnier is how dumb the town would be to not know that's Marge behind the mask.

Every time a new season is ready to come out, people complain that that season was no good. The worst Simpsons season is better than virtually every other show's best season.
    11 highlights- tomacco and Funzo.
    Hoping for a 12/11 date.

i'll still be first in line for this season just like all the others .. i wonder if now that they did all the heads for the main simpsons if they'll start doing heads for the rest of the family and other members of springfield ... i think that since maude died in this season perhaps a maude head or a ned head ... personally i think that they should do a grampa head and a grampa themed box for the regular box ..... also the amazon box art is the box art i believe from the hong kong season 11 box set since they released the seasons alot sooner there then they do here ... if you do a search you can find all 18 seasons region 1 dvds for a little over 200 hundred dollars ... however i believe that there are little if any special features and i'm sure there is no comentary .. hence the "collectors editon" on the us editions .. err i think

Those are bootlegs in which the DVDs were either ripped from a torrent or broadcast feed, very unofficial.

Anyone got a sneaky feeling this may be delayed until early 2008, since it's rumoured that the Movie dvd will come out in the December slot a season would usually come out in and it would be strange for 2 major Simpsons dvds to come out within a week or two of each other
    Sig Free since '03

i will bet it will come out in december
